Wear Sunscreen
Appearance
"Wear Sunscreen" is a text that talks about life.
The year is 1997. It is attributed to two different authors. It was first written by Mary Schmich, a columnist for the Chicago Tribune. It became an incorrect famous urban legend on the Internet, credited as a MIT commencement speech by author Kurt Vonnegut. In fact, the commencement speaker at MIT in 1997 was Kofi Annan.
It was later set to music and released on an album by Australian director Baz Luhrmann titled "Everybody's Free (to Wear Sunscreen)". John Safran later made another version with the title "Not the Sunscreen Song".
