Girl in a Coma

Girl In a Coma is a rock band from San Antonio, Texas on Joan Jett's Blackheart Record's label. The band is made up of sisters Nina (vocals/guitar) and Phanie Diaz (drums) and Jenn Alva (bass).[1] The name is a reference to The Smiths' song Girlfriend in a Coma (song).

In October 2007, while in New York, Girl In a Coma were called by Morrissey to open for the rest of his tour after Kristeenyoung was fired.

The band performed at the 2007 SXSW Music Festival,[2][3] and in the summer of 2008, Girl in a Coma performed on the True Colors Tour 2008.
