Dona Drake was a singer and film actress in the 1930s and 1940s. Born Rita Novella in Miami Flordia, she changed her name to Rita Rio prior to entering films in 1935 then later settling on the stage name Donna Drake[1] in the early 1940s. Drake is probably best known for playing the American Indian maid of Bette Davis in Beyond the Forest. She also appeared opposite Bob Hope in Road to Morocco in 1942.[2]
