Edward Throwbridge Collins Junior (November 1912 to November 2000) played major league baseball from 1939 to 1942 with the Philadelphia Athletics. He was the son of Eddie Collins, the Hall of Fame baseball talent. Eddie Collins, Jr. played respectfully for the A's. He later would become a history teacher at the Episcopal Academy in Merion, PA, and was well liked by both the faculty and students.
