History
The station went on the air as KBET on 2002-01-25. On 2003-07-09, the station changed it's call sign to the current KPTO. On 2005-10-27 to KBET. On 2005-11-09 to the current KPTO.[2]
On December 18, 2008, radio industry website 100000watts.com reported that KPTO had gone silent, though no explanation was given for this.
