Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. December 2008

Did JDelanoy also get a last warning? He has been continually yelling at me when I asked a simple question or responded to somebody elses comment.

There seems to be no way to contact "David" 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:29, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Contact me by clicking the "WS" in my signature. Also, no, he did not. He was not personally attacking you, he was frustrated. You claimed he had an "attitude problem" and needed medication, and made other attacks. DavidWS (contribs) 21:30, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He made a sarcastic comment towards me and was yelling at me from the beginning. If you would like I will go through the whole discussion if you want to copy it over to here 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:34, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He was yelling at you because you were attacking him for deleting something he didn't even delete. Now, I would like to see the sarcastic comment as that likely should not have been made, however, even if it was made, it does not warrant more personal attacks. DavidWS (contribs) 21:35, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He wrote, "sarcasm" What is with you That is the first sentence of what he wrote 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:40, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He had the Chess up that nobody commented on which was in clear violation 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:35, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That was not in violation of anything, and no sysops have ever seemed concerned about it. It does not distract from the encyclopedia, so it does absolutely no harm, and maybe even has a positive effect. Where's the sarcastic comment? DavidWS (contribs) 21:40, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Asking "What is with you?" is not sarcasm. I'd like to ask this to you: Why do you care about a copyright violating article being removed anyway?. DavidWS (contribs) 21:42, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's the way that it was said, look at the original page in italics - he meant it to be sarcastic.75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:50, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, please organize your comments. Also, no, italics != sarcasm. It's simply a question. DavidWS (contribs) 21:57, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to see the W.D. Gann page up again, but some are better that me about writing about him. A man from Australia gave me permission to put an article about what he wrote about Gann in the local newspaper, but he died before he was to give a seminar on Gann. I could modify the page.

Could you comment on WP:UP#Games 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:43, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely. That policy is an "in general" meaning there are exceptions. Also, this is not role playing, it is simply a chess game that is not always played. It helps to rid stress, which actually helps to build the encyclopedia. Anyway, J.delanoy is quite committed to the project. You ought to lay off the chess game and simply concentrate on your original concern. You have not answered me on why you even care about a G6 deletion of a copyvio article... DavidWS (contribs) 21:46, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Permission to put on Wikipedia is not enough, it needs to be GFDL licensed and the permission needs to be verified. A newspaper article is not even appropriate for Wikipedia. Just try writing about him if you really want an article, don't worry about what you think about your writing skills. If he meets guidelines, then go for it :) DavidWS (contribs) 21:52, 24 December 2008 (UTC) I didn't put the original article up, but nobody can tell me what was in violation. It wouldn't seem like the whole article was, but then again I didn't write it 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:55, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We can't see it. Only admins can. Anyway, it doesn't matter. It was a copyvio, that is what matters. Honestly. If you want an article on him, fix it! DavidWS (contribs) 21:58, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He also wrote "WTF". Would you spell out what that means and why that is appropriate. 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:52, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I will. WTF means "What the fuck?". It is similar to "What the hell?" or "What the heck?". It is a commonly used expression when someone doesn't understand something or is extremely confused. He was expressing his confusion. I do not understand why you feel that might not be appropriate. DavidWS (contribs) 21:53, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

:: You know, you made him awfully angry and you know what happens when people get angry.... - Fastily (talk) 21:53, 24 December 2008 (UTC) never mind, that was already answered- Fastily (talk) 21:54, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't like to be told "fuck" to when talked to, and he shouldn't have wrote it. 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:58, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ok, what does happen when people get angry? Are you threatening me? 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:58, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he's allowed to write fuck. Wikipedia is not censored, and he's allowed to say what ever he wants. "What the fuck" simply means he doesn't understand something. Anyway, fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. If you don't like that word, ignore it. I don't know what fastily was talking about quite frankly. Anyway, DavidWS (contribs) 22:00, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
How is he threatening you? As far as I can see, it looks like you're threatening him. - Fastily (talk) 22:02, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, he was talking to you. DavidWS (contribs) 22:03, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Was he? My bad. - Fastily (talk) 22:09, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're not seeing what he wrote. By what you wrote Fastily, it looks like you're threatening me You can't fix what it's there (the page) 75.91.169.43 (talk) 22:06, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, he really isn't threatining you. He's just saying that negative things happen when people get angry. Are you saying that I don't know how to read? Well, anyway... What is "You can't fix what it's there (the page)" supposed to mean? DavidWS (contribs) 22:07, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're being one-sided. His sarcastic comments, yelling, and WTF, are trivial to you? If somebody saw you in a store and said the same things what would your response be? honestly. The Gann page isn't there so it can't be fixed. 75.91.169.43 (talk) 22:11, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yelling profanities in a store and on Wikipedia are two different things. Naturally, it would be inappropriate to be yelling insults in a store. However, as DavidWS mentioned earlier, Wikipedia is uncensored: J can be considered justified in his actions. - Fastily (talk) 22:15, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It can be fixed. It's called "creating it". Nobody was yelling, he was using all caps. Using the phrase "What the fuck", "what the fucking hell", "what the hell", and "what the heck" do not bother me in the least. He wasn't being sarcastic, whether you can tell or not. If I was in a store and someone was making those comments, I would IGNORE THEM IF THEY BOTHERED ME (unless, of course, I was being threatened or something serious like that). DavidWS (contribs) 22:16, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
(EC)If you want to rewrite the Gann page so that it shows his notablilty and isn't a copyright violation, register an account and go right ahead. As for your contact with the admin and your interaction on this page, I'd would make the friendly suggestion that you move on. There will be no action taken against anyone, so it's best if the matter is dropped so everyone can get back to whatever they were doing. Good luck! Dayewalker (talk) 22:17, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

nothing I said was wrong then - correcct? 75.91.169.43 (talk) 22:28, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Erm, completely wrong. You made multiple personal attacks, and you are on your final warning... DavidWS (contribs) 22:28, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

what personal attacts? he made several and nothing is done 75.91.169.43 (talk) 22:31, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I should say mostly wrong. He may have said some things toward you that were not the most appropriate, especially for an administrator. However, you responded by attacking him (attitude problem, medication, etc.). He was not intending to attack you. You, however, were. There was not a single sarcastic comment that he made. He did not attack you, other than perhaps "yelling". DavidWS (contribs) 22:33, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I"m not here to tell you what's right or wrong, I'll invoke WP:RATSASS on this one. I'm just telling you that I've looked at this discussion, and nothing's going to come of it. It's best if you stop complaining about some perceived injustice, and if you want an article on this gentleman, write it yourself in accordance with wikipedia policies. Dayewalker (talk) 22:34, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What J said was not appropriate, however, since Wikipedia is uncensored, there isn't much you can do about it. However, if you keep persistently challenging other editors, realize it will become your fault and not J's fault! I agree with Dayewalker, please drop the issue. - Fastily (talk) 22:40, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ok, but I want David to see the first sentence where it says "sarcasm". Two can be equally at fault. 75.91.169.43 (talk) 22:51, 24 December 2008 (UTC)I also wrote "seems to" which is my opinion and not a personal attack 75.91.169.43 (talk) 23:00, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Deletion

Hi, in regards to your edits to the page, User:Star Mississippi, that was a user page and constitutes as space or a profile belonging to an editor with an account on Wikipedia as explained here: WP:USER. The ninja star was an award for the editor "Star Mississippi" for excellent contributions to Wikipedia. This is explained here: WP:BARN. Also, attacking other editors is not tolerated on Wikipedia and it would be appreciated if you would stop. Thanks - Fastily (talk) 21:25, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

please understand that users have to defend themselve after being attacted by administrators. Also, you didn't answer anything about the deleted article. 75.91.169.43 (talk) 21:31, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No admins attacked you.... DavidWS (contribs) 21:33, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have made my case from the admin's attacks and now David and Fastily have been. 75.91.169.43 (talk) 03:12, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but we have not been attacking you at all. Quite the contrary, you have attacked us and have been unreasonable. A report at AIV and at ANI have been filed against you. You have harassed multiple users, and this has gone on long enough. Do not victimize yourself when clearly you are the perpetrator. 2DC 03:15, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Deleted article? - Fastily (talk) 21:51, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Deletion

You can see the deleting administrator's reason in the page log. As it is a copyright violation you'll likely find the text on the infringed website. I would imagine most of the article was violating copyright. For legal reasons I cannot give you the text of the deleted page; copyright mainly. You may at any time create an account and begin another, non-copyright infringing article in place of the old one. Hope this helps. (May I also apologise on behalf of the slightly inconsiderate language used by my fellow users; I can see you have good intentions but asking vague questions is occasionally not the best course of action to take for help. 8 minute block; this is more of a warning than a sanction - move on, or get blocked for longer; your choice. LessHeard vanU (talk) 23:18, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

move on??? this is my page. Others are guests 75.91.169.43 (talk) 01:21, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

and I have replied to your comment at Jimbo's talk page there; but having taken a quick look at the history, I doubt you have anything to complain about. --Rodhullandemu 23:48, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Garden was the only one that was helpful. I was replying to Garden about a copyright question when the 'block'came up 75.91.169.43 (talk) 23:58, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

blocked from my own page.....funny LessHeard vanU is now blocked.....poof

Just to let you know from your above comments, the "move on" comments are directed at your disagreement with an admin, not your use of the talk page. Dayewalker (talk) 01:26, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

the admin was following, i.e. stalking, me - just to let you know but I can see that nobody will do anything about the other admin I would say it's time to grow some balls, but I'm not going to 75.91.169.43 (talk) 01:35, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alrighty, then. I'm done trying to help. Enjoy your time here. Dayewalker (talk) 01:38, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's just it, you haven't helped. You can leave now 75.91.169.43 (talk) 01:48, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:deletion

Who are you referring to as being unhelpful? - Fastily (talk) 02:58, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You... I spelled everything out any nobody saw any of it. 'Garden' was helpful. I don't need any attacks. You were antogonizing, and you should know that. 75.91.169.43 (talk) 03:03, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Due to percieved "personal attacks", if I hurt your feelings or caused you any emotional or psychological pain, please let me know. 75.91.169.43 (talk) 03:05, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Attacking? Hardly - I was merely pointing out your error in removing content from User:Star Mississippi and your making personal attacks. Information on these can be found at WP:CIVIL and WP:VAN. I would like to warn you one more time that personal attacks on Wikipedia are not tolerated and if you continue, you will be blocked, this time, for longer. - Fastily (talk) 03:15, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who have I attacked If I have hurt your feeling and you have not told me, please let me know 75.91.169.43 (talk) 03:21, 25 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
