Wheaton Bandit

The Wheaton Bandit is the nickname of bank robber who has been targeting banks in the Wheaton, IL area in suburban Chicago for 4 years. He has so far robbed 16 banks and has also been featured on an episode of American Greed on CNBC. Local law enforcement are now starting to think he has military training because of how he conducts the robberies. His trigger finger is usually along the side of the gun, not on the trigger, as a safety precaution. Authorities also think he wears a bulletproof vest from the outlines on his jackets.

His only mistake was when a civilian thought he was someone he knew and stopped to talk to him, unmasked. He then realized he didn't know the person and drove off; from that the police drew a composite sketch of the suspect.
