Hi, My name is Sanjeev, currently in Mumbai but born and brought up in Hyderabad. I dont think it is a good idea to include this with Dakhni, there is a clear distinction between the 2 dialects, while there may be some similarities, large parts of the language is different. Also, the Hyderabadi language has an amazing Global appeal :)while it may be distorted hindi or urdu, it is sweet to hear some of these words. Let's keep it alone and not merge with anything else.

Hyderabadi kya chindiyan karne wali language hain miyan. Chodd do usku.

my name is aslam, i stay in mummbai.

my roots goes back to nizam state dist osmanabad,now in maharashtra.

i think this hyderbadi urdu page should come under dakhani page.

what ever example given in the page ..is common for many places in maharashtra karanatak andhra.

The language used in the page is not specific to hyderabad e.g kayku is said in the same fashion gulbarga,bidar in karnatak or latur ,satara, ahmednagar in maharashtra.

so i think this page must go under dakhani page.

Hi my name is Farooq Its my suggestion that the root and origin of the word should also be mentioned. Like some words are Persian/Arabic origin (Mauz=Kela Tarkari=Sabzi Navad=navve 90) which are not used in North Indian Urdu, some are marathi origin such as Nakko, and some are Telugu and Kannada orgin such as Banda (Paththar/Stone) and some are variation of standard urdu such as Kaiku=Kahe Ko (Literary word used in poetry for Kyun/why). The interistin part of Dekhani urdu is its vocabulary is derived much from persian and arabic where as north indian urdu from hindi. I agree with Mr Aslam that Hyderabadi Urdu is no different than Dakhni Urdu spoken in different parts of Deccan such as Karnataka, Tamilnadu, parts of Maharashtra and coastal Andhra. Folks, this is Ateeq,

Me a Bangalore Based, Dekhani speaking person, The Fact about Hyderabad/Bangalore lies in the way it is Spoken ie the accent, In and around Old Mysore region the Language is Dragged Less and it is some what similar to North Urdu type.Where as In Hyderabad, the same word is dragged to a greater Level giving it a feel that it is different from the other counterparts down south.I think Hyderabadi Urdu and Bangalore Urdu differs the way each word rendered, the Phonetics differs, finally the accent is entirely different.Bidar/Gulbarga(north Karnataka Dist)was former parts of Hyderabad State under Governance of Nizam, so it is having the greater influence of Hyderabadi Urdu, where as the Costal Karnataka generally speak another Dialect of Urdu called as Navayathi.So it is the Geographical area which influence the usage of Language, but Dakhni Urdu is having the distinction of being the first to produce a Literature a complete Novel in Urdu Language by Qutub Sha even before UmraoJan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.95.197.136 (talk) 05:33, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Like Biryani, Hyderabadi slang is synonymous with Hyderabad. Moreover it is unique to Hyderabad only, other area's of Deccan ie: Bidar etc., have a totally diffrent dialect. We need to le it under Hyderabadi.
