Tell All book

On April 10, 2006, Lopez filed a lawsuit against Noa to prevent details of their life together from appearing in a book he plans to publish. Noa had originally signed a preliminary injunction that prohibited him from criticizing, denigrating, casting in a negative light or otherwise disparaging or causing disparagement to Lopez. .

In August 6, 2007, a court-appointed arbitrator has ruled that Noa should pay her nearly $545,000 for his plans to write his tell-all book. The award was revealed Monday when Lopez's attorney, Paul Sorrell, filed court papers asking a Los Angeles Superior Court judge to confirm the decision in a hearing scheduled for Sept. 5.

The decision would put an end to Noa's plans to publish the book, which was to be titled The Unknown Truth: A Passionate Portrait of a Serial Thriller. Noa's book was to detail his first sexual encounter with Lopez, as well as claims that the singer had multiple affairs while they were married.

The book and the public allegations by Noa violate a settlement in a separate lawsuit in which Noa agreed not to disparage Lopez or to attempt to profit by disclosing details about Lopez's private life. "The book proposal clearly contains material that violates the terms referenced [in] ... the settlement agreement, states the seven- page decision.

The award consists of $200,000 in compensatory damages for breach of the Lopez-Noa settlement agreement; nearly $300,000 in attorneys' fees and almost $48,000 in arbitration costs.

On September 5, 2007, a California magistrate ordered Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband to pay actress $545,000 for trying to publish a tell-all book about their relationship. The judge also affirmed the arbitrator's judgment which awarding Lopez a permanent injunction against Ojani Noa, who was directed to return all materials related to the book.[1]
