Aurora Publishing, Inc. is a company that publishes Japanese manga in North America. It was founded in 2006 and began publishing in 2007. The company is located in Torrance, CA. Aurora is a fully-owned subsidiary of manga publisher Ohzora Shuppan, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The company slogan is "Experience the Allure of Manga." Their goal is to release popular titles from Japan to the wider population of North America, they strive to help advance the manga market for a more mature audience. They aim for quality an detail. Aurora Publishing, Inc. has three publishing imprints with their shōjo manga line, Aurora, their yaoi manga line, Deux Press, and their josei manga line, Luv Luv. [1][2][3]

Imprints

In June 2007 Aurora Publishing officially made it's debut in North America with two manga series under their yaoi imprint, Deux Press, and their shojo imprint, Aurora Publishing.[4]

They have since then launched additional titles.

Deux Press

Deux Press (established in 2007) is the yaoi manga imprint of Aurora Publishing, Inc. The slogan for Deux Press is "Where Fantasy Becomes Obsession..."

Luv Luv Press

Luv Luv Press (established in 2008) is the josei manga imprint of Aurora Publishing, Inc. The majority of the manga released under the Luv Luv imprint target an adult female audience and have a rating of Mature/18+. Described as "Passionate Manga For Women" by the company, the contents of the manga deal mostly with romantic situations within modern society and contain sexual content. [13] These are contemporary romance novels in manga form.
