The President Is Coming is a forthcoming English film to be directed by debutante Kunaal Roy Kapur based on his own popular play by the same title which was premiered at the Royal Court/Rage Theatre Festival in Mumbai in January 2006. The film is written by Anuvab Pal will star Konkona Sen Sharma as a Bengali writer and social activist. [1] The film explores a day in the life of 10 contestants who will stop at nothing as the US President is coming to town. Konkona plays as Maya Roy, one of the ten contestants who will represent New India in front of the President.

Plot

In 2006, George W. Bush, President of the United States, visited India. In addition to the many diplomatic and political things on the agenda was a rather unique event - a meeting with one of the young faces responsible for shaping "The New India". The film is about a Bengali writer and social activist Maya Roy (Konkona Sen Sharma). She is one of the 10 contestants in a talent contest, who will stop at nothing to be the person to represent New India in front of the visiting US President, George Bush. [1]

Soundtrack

Goldspot The Los Angeles based indie rock band, did the soundtrack for "The President is Coming" (2008), featuring songs "Paper Boats" and "Under the House".
