ROBIN TROWER - LIVING OUT OF TIME (album)

LIVING OUT OF TIME is the nineteenth studio album by guitarist Robin Trower, released in 2003 on the V-12 Records label.

After a number of blues-related albums released during the 1990's, Trower returns to his hard rock guitar roots in 2000 on his GO MY WAY album - and LIVING OUT OF TIME is the perfect follow up in the progression of that theme. Many of the songs are short, punchy and to the point - with the exception of the last track, "I Want To Take You With Me", which is arguably one of Trower's longest and most hypnotizing studio tracks.

The lineup of musicians on this album is also a reunion of sorts. Davey Pattison, Dave Bronze and Pete Thompson (along with Trower) recorded albums together such as "Passion", "Take What You Need" and "In The Line Of Fire" during the 1980s. While many of the songs on LIVING OUT OF TIME are credited solely to Trower, a number were co-written with former singer/bassist Richard Watts.

The American version of LIVING OUT OF TIME features an original painting by Trower on the front cover, but an alternate cover was created for European sales. A "Fan Club" version of this CD was also released, featuring a hand written note by Trower inside.

NOTE: a live concert video/DVD filmed on tour in Germany was released later in the year also with the title LIVING OUT OF TIME, but contains completely different music from this album.
