Mirpuri can refer to

  • a person or people from the district of Mirpur in Kashmir, Pakistan which lies at the foothills of the Himalayas minor.
  • a term that was coined in the UK which is used to refer to people hailing from the district of Mirpur, [[Mirpur],Kashmir, Pakistan . Note, maybe considered disparaging and offensive to some.
  • a label given to the language spoken in [[Mirpur],Kashmir, Pakistan i.e. the Potwari language, which is considered by some to be a dialect of Punjabi whereas by others as a language in its own right.
