EuroSTAR Testing Excellence Award

EuroSTAR believes there is a need for an award which recognises leadership and contribution in the field of software testing. An award will provide focus to the contribution testing processes and principles make to the success of the products and services in the Information Technology Industry.

A European Testing Excellence Award will serve as a vehicle to build a knowledge base of approaches, solutions and the benefits of implementing testing solutions. The award will facilitate communication and dissemination of best practices in the industry.

2008 marked the 10th anniversary of the EuroSTAR Testing Excellence Award and was awarded to Geoff Thompson in the Grote Kerk, The Hague, Netherlands.

Previous Winners

The first winner of the award was Martin Pol, Polteq who was presented with the award at EuroSTAR98 in Munich, the second winner was Dorothy Graham of Grove Consultants in 1999, and the third winner was Stuart Reid of Cranfield University who was presented with his award in Stockholm, Sweden in 2001. The award for 2002 was presented at the EuroSTAR 10th Anniversary Gala Evening in Edinburgh, Scotland to Graham Babel of EDS.
