Dave Gilroy(Born 23rd December, 1982) started off his football career with a short contract with Bristol Rovers before being lent out to Bath City on loan in the 2001-2002 season, appearing 5 times, and scoring twice. He also spent a loan spell at Forest Green Rovers at the start of the 2003-04 season before leaving permanently to join Weston Super Mare in December 2003, where he scored on his debut against Merthyr Tydfil on New Years Day. He spent two years with the Seagulls then joined Chippenham Town in November 2005. Was immediately a prolific scorer with the Bluebells, finishing the 2005-06 season as joint Southern League top scorer, hitting the net in total 30 times. Added another 22 strikes during the 2006-07 season, which attracted the interest of Conference side Exeter City , but returned back to Twerton Park at the start of the 2007-2008 season. After a slow start the goals began to flow and he was City's top scorer with 26 goals last season, including four hat-tricks. The 2008-2009 season, so far, Gilroy has features 20 times, scoring 15 goals, including a bundle of 4 goals versus Newport County in the Setanta Sheild.
