WPA means Wifi Protected access and its alot stronger than the old protical WEP which is Wired equivelent Privicy

hacking has come more agile these days and there are so many forums about hacking WEP cause WEP is made to be hacked because of its weak encryption algorithm. Cracking a Wep protected network is extreamly easy and you dont need to be a genuis to know how to do it, you only need to capture about 20,000 wep encryped data packets to crack the password which linus is the best for packet injection to produce more packets, any key size: 64, 128, 256 even 512 bit keys can be cracked.

Wpa is a different story because they fixed the massive problem with WEP and some helpful advice with a wireless network NEVER USE WEP!!!! lol.

wpa cracking is to capture a wpa handshake which is a specific file when a client authenticates with a router and its really hard to crack that handshake cause the only way to do that is a dictiony brute force which is not really reliable.

which makes wpa a must for wifi users.....
