The Last Summer Fanfic by Poseidon'sGirl

Okay, there's this thing called Fanfiction. It is stories about the characters in REAL books, but by authors who write stories for fun, not money. Here is one of my favorites about Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Created by Poseidon'sGirl on Fanfiction.net

Aegea's P.O.VI took a break from looking out the dirty window of the taxi& looked at Jake. "Jake?" I asked quietly, "Ummm..." I started. Ugh why can't I talk to him? I've known him forever! Ever since that snakewoman attacked & Grover told us we were half-bloods, half human half Greek god (which I believed right away, not sure why though) Jake has kept to himself.

• Flashback*

I stared in horror as my classmate Mac grew into this giant, well, snakewoman. It reminded me of a monster you'd find in Greek mythology. Except it couldn't be, could it? Instead of screaming and running I just stood there like an idiot. All of a sudden Jake and his new friend Grover appeared at the door. Grover slid a ring across the floor to me. It had a small blue heart the color of the ocean on the front of it. I turned to yell at Grover I was in no need of jewelry at the moment when Mac lunged. At the same moment i was putting my hands up to cover my face Jake dove at me sending us both sprawling to the ground. The snakewoman went flying past us into a hole in the ground that hadn't been there before. Grover and I gasped and i heard Grover mutter "Oh no! Not another one!"

• End Flashback*

"Aegea?" Grover asked, (Kudos to anyone who can figure out the significance of her name) "What?" I snapped. "Uh, we're here" He said nervously. I got out and looked around, we were in the middle of nowhere! "Come on!" Grover urged us, "Chiron & Mr. D are waiting!" Jake and I exchanged looks and grudgingly (spelling?) followed Grover up a hill with a pine tree at the top that we were told was half blood hill. As we followed Grover towards the big house 2 people joined us. One was a boy of about 13 who looked scarily like Jake. They both had black hair, dark brown almost black eyes & were both dressed in black. If i hadn't known better i would've said they were brothers. Next was a girl who looked my age with long blond curly hair that i wish i had. She also had stormy grey eyes. " Jake and Aegea meet Nico and Annabeth, Nico and Annabeth meet Jake and Aegea" Grover said formally. Nico rolled his eyes but Annabeth seemed to be looking at MY eyes. I didn't know why though, i mean i guess they were kind of interesting. My eyes change color ranging dark blue to dark green. Jake says they change with my mood but i think that's creepy and don't believe him. As we continued our walk i overheard Grover ask Annabeth "Is Percy here yet?" "No," she said "But he's coming earlier because of, well you know, the end of summer" she finished softly with a hint of sadness creeping into her voice. "Yeah i know. Don't worry Annabeth everything will work out fine" he said clearly trying to reassure her as well as himself. I was curious what was going to happen at the end of summer but i never got to hear the end of the conversation because we had arrived. We were greeted by a man in a wheelchair and a man in a leopard print shirt drinking a diet coke playing some sort of card game. Grover cleared his throat and they both looked up. "Mr. D," talking to the man in the leopard print shirt "Chiron i present to you Jake Morgen and Aegea" I sighed, I dont know my last name because i was put in the orphanage at a very young age, like 1. My mother must of been in a rush and never told them her last name, I thought angrily, she didn't leave anything else for me so why bother with a last name? I sighed again, that was a lie because i have a necklace from my father and a letter from her. The necklace is a single sea green bead on a brown chain that's just a thin piece of rope. I tell my self i should take off and throw it away but i can't bring myself to do it, it's the only reminder of family i have. The letter is addressed to the orphanage and partially me, it reads: Dear Caroline Mcgee, It deeply saddens me to do this but i must leave my daughter in your care. Please take care of her for me for i can't. Thank you once again. I hope to see her again one day. My dear Aegea, I'm sorry once again i have to leave you here. I know you will be fine. Please keep the necklace, it was a gift from your father who was unfortunately lost at sea only a few days before you were born. If anything strange should happen go to this address: I couldn't read it because it had been washed away by a water stain. Your loving mother, a y n I couldn't read the signature either because most of it had been smugged. I remember staying up late at night trying to figure out what her name was with no avail. Eventually i just gave up. The only good thing that came from the orphange (which wasn't too bad in itself, we got to do pretty much what normal kids did including school.) was studying Greek mythology in history last year (it was my favorite unit and i remember asking my teacher for copys of the stories we read. I think i still have them...) & meeting Jake. Jake came to the orphanage at age 5 and we've been friends ever since. Just then Jake pinched me snapping me back to the present. "What was that for?" i hissed. He inclined his head toward Chiron who cleared his throat. I blushed profusely and listened to him. "Well, i could probably just explain everything to you two but you may as well see the video" With that me and Jake went to watch the video. When we returned Chiron was in his centaur form. I wasn't surprised, it seemed more comfortable for him anyway. "Well since you two have already met Annabeth and Nico they can take you on a tour of camp and to Hermes's cabin" Chiron said. "Sure Chiron no problem" they said at the same time. The look on their faces after doing that was priceless and me and Jake started laughing. "Come on guys" Nico grumbled. Still chuckling quietly to ourselves we followed them After visiting everything we headed towards the cabins. A few were empty and the occupants of the others varied. Even though Annabeth had explained this to me i still found it weird. When we passed Zeus's cabin a girl was standing in the doorway who i assumed to be the Thalia girl Annabeth was talking about. "Hi Thalia!" Annabeth shouted. I was right. Finally we arrived at Hermes's crowded cabin where our stuff had already been brought to. Annabeth raised her voice "Everyone these are 2 new campers, Aegea and Jake" WE stood in the doorway awkwardly when someone asked "determined or undetermined" "undetermined" Annabeth said firmly. I figured she probably had an idea of our parents seeing that she is a daughter of Athena. Everyone groaned when they heard we were undetermined but i just gave them all my sweetest smile. "You guys can get settled, dinners in an hour" Annabeth said as she walked outta the cabin with Nico who had been quiet almost the whole time. "Uh yeah, talk to you later Annabeth" I said and turned to my stuff thinking about everything i had learned today Aegea's P.O.V Soon as i had finished unpacking it was time for dinner. Perfect timing, i thought as me and Jake followed the twins Travis and Connor Stoll out of the cabin towards the dining pavilion. "So Jake how do you like camp?" i asked trying to make conversation "Okay i guess" he said. Ok this might take some work. "Yeah... so who do you think your Olympian parent might be?" i asked in a pleading way. "Dunno. Hades?" he said. It sounded like he already knew. Well its kind of obvious he looks almost exactly like Nico and that hole back at the orphanage (Which kind of kicked us out so leaving wasn't difficult) reminded Grover of Nico's powers. It reminded him of Nico's alot. What i really want to know is why he's been so quiet. Here it goes. "Jake why have you been keeping to yourself? You're my best friend! The past 2-3 months you've been acting weird and you won't tell me why!" i said all in one breath. A few people looked at us but i ignored them waiting for Jake's answer. "'Cause I've known i was a halfblood for 3 years! Hades came to me in a dream when i was 12 telling me to come here but i didn't know where it was! I didn't tell you 'cause i thought you'd think i was crazy and wouldn't want to be friends or something! I thought I was putting everyone in danger with the monsters! I didn't realize that you were the only one seeing them too! I didn't realize you were a half-blood either! When Grover came to the orphanage I told him about everything 'cause he seemed like he knew. I'm sorry Aegea i really am!" He said with shame filling his voice. I was speechless not only was that almost the most he's said for three weeks but that he knew he was a half-blood? "I still don't understand how you knew though." i said sitting down at the table, " and i wouldn't have thought you were crazy, you're my friend!" he cringed as if my words were hurting him. "Aegea when i had those dreams the people in them said you might be one too. I didn't want that to happen so i didn't tell you." he said still shameful. I found this funny 'cause even though he acted like an older brother he was actually younger. My birthday is in late August and his is in early October but he's always acted like the older one and sometimes i forget. I know it's only like 1 1/2 months but still. "It's okay Jake. You were looking out for me, that's what friends do. But Annabeth said sons & daughters of the big three are usually chased by monsters at a young age and you.. i mean WE never were. Why? I mean we're almost positive your dad's Hades even though he hasn't claimed you yet..." I stopped talking mid-sentence. Floating over Jake's head was a holographic picture of the Helm of Darkness. Symbol of Hades. Chiron and Mr. D (who was actually Dionysus) looked over along with the rest of the campers. "I present you Jake Morgen, Son of Hades!" Chiron said happily. He probably already knew.I thought as Jake walked over to the big table to sit with Nico. " I guess we're gunna have to build another cabin" Mr D. muttered unhappily as usual. I just sat there looking towards the forest sadly. I knew it was coming but now i had no one to talk to during meals or at the cabin. Then it was our turn to go up to burn our food in prayer. Please Dad tell me who you are! I prayed. I went up to Chiron asking if i could go back to my cabin. He surprisingly agreed, probably 'cause he thought i was tired seeing as it was my first day. Soon as i got there I curled up in my sleeping bag and cried myself to sleep. Aegea's Dream I looked around confused. I was in an apartment that looked vaguely familiar. In front of me two toddlers were playing in their crib. One was a boy with dark brown hair and shocking green eyes, he looked vaguely familiar too. He was playing with someone but i couldn't see who it was because the boy was blocking her. Then i got a better look of the room. It was blue and one of the walls had a mural of a beach on it. In the crib the toddlers were fighting over a toy fish. I remembered that fish! I had it when i was little at the orphanage! AS i watched them play thinking how weird this was when i woman walked in. I knew it was their mother but her face was tear-stained and her make-up was running down her face. She looked like she had been crying very hard. "Come on you two" she said. Even though her voice was croaky from crying it sounded so familiar! First she picked up the boy and put him in a car seat. Then she turned back and i finally got a good look at the little girl. She had blond hair that stopped at her shoulders that had a streak of brown in it. However it was a natural par of her hair. Her eyes were dark blue, clearly annoyed at her brother but when her mom picked her up they changed to a light green because she was now happy. I looked again and the girl looking back WAS me. Percy's P.O.V "Are we there yet?" i asked my mom. She sighed, "Not yet Percy" Jeez I'm sorry I'm dyslexic and can't read any of the signs! And its not my fault I'm excited about going back to camp early! Well actually that is my fault. I convinced my mom to bring me back to camp super early. I said it was to train for the end of summer, at the end of summer i would decide the fate of the Olympians. No biggie. Oh my gods who am i kidding I'm freaking out about that! Thalia would've been the one in the prophecy 'cause shes no longer a hunter but no 'cause Artemis pulled some string so instead of a day away from 16 shes nearly 18. The other reason i want to go back(that i didnt tell my mom) is i want to see HER. Her is Annabeth, she's my best friend. She's smart and funny and nice and hot...wait did i say hot? Friends DO NOT think of each other like that! I meant umm...trustworthy. Yeah trustworthy. Oh my gods who am i kidding? I think I'm falling for my best friend... Athena is so going to kill me! Okay Percy think about something else. You've got plenty to think about. I did, including that weird dream I've been having.. Percy's dream I was in my room from when i was a little kid. The one with the blue walls and the mural of the beach. There were two toddlers in the crib in the room. One was me, it looked exactly like me except as a toddler. Sitting across from me was a little girl. The girl and I were fighting over a little stuffed fish. She had blond hair that stopped at her shoulders that had a streak of brown in it. However it was a natural par of her hair. Her eyes were light green, happy that she had the fish at the moment. Then I took it from her and they turned dark blue with a tinge of gray. She was annoyed i had taken the fish from her. All of a sudden the scene changed. It was my mom talking to my Dad, Poseidon. Tears were streaming down her face. It upset me to see her like that. My Dad's eyes were moist too. They were talking but i only picked up snippets f the conversation. "You have too".."the necklace".."where?Not there!".."I'm sorry".."its the only way"..."safe" The scene changed back to the toddlers. My mom walked into the room her face still wet with tears. "Come on you two. We're going on a trip" Her voice cracking on 'trip'. She started flat out crying again as she placed us in our carseats. Then it dawned on me, that little girl, she was my sister! Not only that, she was my twin. Jake's P.O.V (right after being claimed) I sat down at the big table next to Nico. It was weird sitting at a table with a centaur, the god of wine and a 13 year old boy who's your half brother because you both share the same Dad who happens to be the god of the underworld. I mean Nico's cool and all but its still weird. I looked over to the Hermes table where Aegea was. She was still there but looked sad. After she burned some of her food she came over to the big table asked Chiron if she could go to her cabin and walked towards it. I watched her go, i hope i hadnt made her mad. She was right that i was trying to protect her and she also had a good question about why the monsters hadn't attacked. I decided to ask Chiron. "Um, Chiron? I was talking to Aegea earlier and she had a good question. Since i'm a son of the big 3 and shes definatly a demigod even though we dont know who's daughter she is, um why haven't we been attacked by monsters from really young? I mean Percy Jackson came here when he was 12 but i'm 15 and will be 16 in 4 months." i asked completely confused. "That's a good question Jake but i don't know why to be honest. It is very weird" Chiron said. Mr. D. looked as if he knew. Old drunk probably does know i thought. Grape vines started crawling up my chair and i looked over at Mr. D who had a sly smile on his face. I, uhh, our dear Mr. D probably doesn't know! I sighed in relief as the vines subsided. "Uh Jake?" Nico asked "Yeah Nico?" I said turning my back to the Hermes cabin that Aegea had just entered. "Would you want me to help you with your, uh, powers?" he asked. I hesitated but then said "Sure Nico that'd be cool" He probably is really good. I mean Annabeth was telling us how he saved her and Percy from Kampe last year. Nico smiled as if he knew something. "Soo..." he started "How long have you known Aegea?" he said smirking. I gave him a death glare and calmly answered " About 10 years. Why?" "Oh no reason. You guys just seem like really good friends" He said. "Just like Percy and Annabeth.." he muttered softly to himself but not soft enough. I swear I saw Chiron and Mr. D smiling. Ugh! This is going to be a long summer"

Aegea's P.O.V (later that night) I woke up later that night in a cold sweat. I looked around, no one else was up thank the gods!It was the 2nd time i'd woken up because of a dream except this one was so much scarier than the first. Aegea's 2nd Dream I was in the middle of the woods with Annabeth and Thalia who were standing behind me cryng. In front of me was a person i knew to be Luke/Kronos. He was holding Jake with a knife at his neck. At Kronos's feet lay an older version of the boy from my other dream. He was on the ground bleeding badly, he had a cuts all over but a deep one in his stomach as if he had been stabbed. Annabeth was struggling to get to him but Thalia was holding her back while yelling at Kronos. "I know you're in there Luke! Why did you do this to me, to us? Why Luke?"she said while sobbing. "Shut up daughter of Zeus!" then he turned to me "Its time to choose girl! Join us and your friend goes free. Deny us and he shall meet his father very soon" he said a sinister grin spreading across his face "Choose! Hopefully you'll make a better decision than the son of the sea god here" So that's Percy, i thought. Kronos spoke again "Hopefully you'll make a better decision than your brother" Then everything went black and all i heard was Kronos's metallic voice saying "Hopefully you'll make a better decision than your brother" I stayed awake thinking about my two dreams remembering Annabeth telling me that demigods sometimes had dreams of the future. But that was the least of my worries right now. I had a brother and i knew who my father was. My brother, my twin was none other than Percy Jackson. And that made my father Poseidon, God of the sea and one of the big three (haha it rhymes[:) Annabeth's P.O.V. (next day) After breakfast i went to the forest to find Nico& Jake so we could go meet Aegea at the beach. At breakfast she had handed me a note written on a napkin saying to meet her on the beach right after breakfast. It was "EVYR IPMROATTN" Ahh how all demigods hate dyslexia. Anyway the note also said to have Grover, Nico & Jake come too. She had already found Grover who told her Nico & Jake were in the forest practicing. She shuddered, knowing Nico she had an idea of what practicing was. As she got deeper into the forest she saw Nico and Jake surrounded by 5 skeleton warriors. She couldn't help i, she screamed. "Oh hi Annabeth!" Nico said. Then he looked around"Oh oops" he muttered something and the skeletons were swallowed up by the ground "Come on guys. Aegea wants us to meet her at the beach" i said exasperated. Jake seemed to be listening more when i mentioned Aegea. Hmm... "So Jake how was your lesson with my friend Nico here?" "He is officially the scariest 13 year old i ever met" Jake joked. Nico scowled until he realized Jake was kidding. "So does that make you the scariest 15 year old?" i asked "Hmm... i guess it does" I laughed, he was so much like Nico. After about another 5 minutes of walking/running we were at the beach. About 100 yards down Aegea sat on a rock staring out into the ocean. Just like Percy would sometimes do. Jeez! why do i keep thinking about him! I mean he's my friend but friends don't have daydreams (I've only had like 2!) about each other, do they? Then i realized Nico and Jake had stopped and they were both smirking. All of i sudden someone grabbed me from behind and covered my eyes with their hands and whispered "Boo" I screamed (again) and whipped out my knife. The person let go and i turned around. "Percy!" i yelled tackling him to the ground in a hug. "You scared my half to death seaweed brain!" "Sorry.." he mumbled. I laughed t was good to have him back. I was glad he had come to camp early. That's when i heard Nico snickering. "Do you guys need a minute?" he asked still smirking. I blushed but still slapped him across the face "OW! You hit almost as hard as Thalia!" Nico complained. "Talking about me?" Thalia asked as she walked over the dune. "Hey Percy!" "Hi Thalia! Whats up?" Percy asked. "Oh you know, the usual" Percy laughed. I love it when he laughs, I thought smiling. There it is again! I have to stop that! "Well guys i hate to break up the reunion but Aegea's waiting" i said. "Aegea?" Percy asked confused but almost as if he recognized the name. "Oh oops! She's one of the new campers, undetermined. This here is Jake, son of Hades, Jake this is Percy, son of Poseidon." i said quickly. "Well let's go meet Aegea" i said and all of us including Percy & Thalia headed towards the rock where she was waiting "Hey Aegea!" i said. She turned around and looked at all of us and then she saw Percy. Her mouth dropped open and she quickly closed it. "Oh right, Aegea this is-" i started before she cut me off "Percy, son of Poseidon and my, my brother" she finished. "WHAT?!" everyone but Percy & Aegea yelled.

Aegea's P.O.V "WHAT?!" everyone but me and Percy yelled. They were looking at me as if i was crazy. Once they calmed down Percy began to talk. "It's true. She's my twin." he said "And also older by 2 minutes" he smiled and turned to me "I thought you'd like to know that" I laughed "How do you know that?" "I asked my, our mom" he said quietly. I scowled and guessed my eyes were probably dark blue. Our mom my foot! She's the one who brought me to that orphanage! Percy saw my anger and started to explain. "I know you probably hate her. But please don't! Once i had that dream from when we little-" i cut him off "You had that dream too?" i asked now very confused. He looked surprised as well. "Yes... and the next day i asked my mom about it. She said our Dad said she had to bring one to the orphanage. She only did it for two reasons, one was she was friends with the director and the second was your necklace." he finished. Now everyone was staring at my necklace. Great. "What about my necklace?" i challenged " I didn't know and neither did mom. When i iris- messaged Dad he said it must of worked kind of like the mist except on monsters. They didn't realize you were a demigod much less a child of the big three 'til much later. Dad also said it wasn't the intended purpose of the necklace and that it was supposed to do something else but he wouldn't tell me what." I was still confused. I mean okay it protected me from monsters but what about Jake? We were both kids of the big 3! "But Jake didn't get many monster attacks either. How could that be possible?" "I don't know. Maybe because you two are friends it protected him as well." "Ugh! How could i have not realized that!" Annabeth said suddenly. We all looked at her so she explained "I didn't think she was a child of the big three because she doesn't really look like one. I mean her eyes sometimes are green like Percy's but they change, also her hair's blond minus the brown streak." "Well yeah we all kinda realized that" Thalia said putting in her 2 cents. Annabeth rolled her eyes, "What i didn't realize was her name. It's a Greek name meaning "of the Aegean", you know like the Aegean sea by Greece?" (A/N: Did anyone catch that?) "No.." Percy said cautiously. "I didn't think YOU would know seaweed brain!" Annabeth snapped. We all laughed at her nickname for him. "Well i hate to interupt this touching moment but we have places we need to be" Nico said impatiently. "So go then. We'll see you later." Percy said. Ugh why did Nico have to remind me! I have sword fighting next and none of the swords are balanced in my hand. "Where are all you guys going?" i asked hoping at least one had sword fighting. "I got archery , i better run" Thalia said quickly before taking off. "What about you guys?" i asked. "Sword fighting" "Sword fighting" "Sword fighting" Annabeth, Percy and Jake said in quick succession. "Someone's happy" Jake said smiling. "Why would you say that?" i asked knowing the answer. "Your eyes are a lovely shade of green now" he answered. Then his face lit up as if an idea had suddenly come to him. "Come on sea girl we're gunna be late!" I sighed at my new nickname he'd given me. I knew that it would last forever. But never the less i ran with him to catch up with Percy and Annabeth who were happily chatting away up ahead. Maybe camp won't be so bad after all. I have 3 new friends, a brother and Jake's still here with me. "Come on!" Jake yelled. I laughed and ran past him smiling. Percy's P.O.V I was so happy to be back at camp! After scaring Annabeth this morning (believe me that was one of the more stupid things I've done this year) i met my sister. That's so weird to say, i have a sister. How could i not known that? And i know Dad said she wasn't attacked 'cause of the necklace but it's still weird. Oh well I'm sure it'll come up eventually. But having Aegea as my sister means its not just my prophecy anymore, it's both of ours. Then there's that other son of Hades who i believe is our age. "SEAWEED BRAIN!" Annabeth yelled. She's so cute when she's mad... NO! She's my friend! emphasis on the word friend! "Yes wise girl?" "Your turn" I sighed. Sword practice can get boring because I'm one of the best fighters. Not to mention i was up against some Aphrodite boy. He lashed out right away & i parried (spelling?). The fight continued this way for another 5 minutes. Finally i knocked his sword out of the way and placed mine at his throat. I won, surprise. (A/N: yeah sorry, not really sure how to describe a sword fight)I went and sat down while watching the others fight. Annabeth was versing Aegea, this should be interesting. Annabeth was winning at the moment but Aegea wasn't doing too bad. She defiantly had potential. Her sword seemed to be what was bugging her. Probably unbalanced like mine was when i first came to camp. Then i noticed a ring on her finger, I wondered if maybe it was like Riptide. Aegea didn't seem like the type of person who would own a celestial bronze ring before she came to camp. I'll ask Chiron about it later. Back where Annabeth and Aegea were sparring Aegea had gained the upper hand. Her moves kinda reminded me of my own. Annabeth must have thought that too 'cause she looked surprised. Aegea then made the mistake of lunging at Annabeth throwing herself off balance. Annabeth took advantage of this and defeated Aegea. Aegea's eyes turned a dark murky green and she sat down next to Jake. He asked her something and she smiled getting up again along with him. This would be interesting.

Jake's P.O.V " So how 'bout a match sea girl?" i asked Aegea smiling. "Oh it's on" she replied. I looked over to where Percy was sitting with Annabeth watching us intently. He seemed as if he had an idea. That worried me, alot. "Hey! Are we gunna fight or not?" Aegea asked impatiently. "Yeah we are, prepare for defeat!" i said. I know it sounded corny but i couldn't think of anything else. Aegea thought so too. About 5 minutes into the fight no one was winning. I tried to remember the moves Nico had taught me earlier. I tried one and Aegea moved out of the way just in time. All of a sudden Percy and Annabeth came up behind her and dumped a bucket of water on her head. "What in Hades?" she said spitting the water out of her mouth. However soon as she got over the shock of the water she seemed to be fighting better. Alot better.

Aegea's P.O.V "What in Hades?" i exclaimed as water was being dumped over me. I took a quick look over my shoulder where Percy & Annabeth were trying to stifle their laughs. Some prank i thought surprising me with water while i'm FIGHTING! Then the shock started to wear off and i felt a rush of energy. I looked over to Percy in amazement. "Yep she's my sister" heard him say to Annabeth. Happy with my energy rush i started advancing on Jake. Then i thought of something I'd seen Percy do. Might as well give it a shot. After Jake took a stab at me i thrust my sword at him hitting the hilt. Then with all my strength i pushed down ripping the sword out of his hands and sending it clattering to the ground. Jake stared at me, the expression on his face that of complete shock. I just gave him my version of a sinister smile. "Will Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Jake Morgen, Nico di Angelo, Thalia Peterson, Grover Underwood, and Aegea please report to the big house now" Chiron said over the loud speaker. I looked over at my friends who were with me and whispered "Do you think we're in trouble?"

Thalia's P.O.V "Will Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Jake Morgen, Nico di Angelo, Thalia Peterson, Grover Underwood, and Aegea please report to the big house now" Chiron announced over the loud speaker. I put my bow and arrows away and met Nico at the rock climbing wall. "What do you think he wants?" Nico asked. "I don't know but i bet it has something to do with Aegea and possibly Percy" i replied. "Naturally" Nico said. I laughed, for a 13 year old he acts much older. When we arrived at the big house Percy Annabeth, Aegea, Jake and Grover were waiting there for us. "What took you so long Thalia? We've been waiting for 10 minutes!" Percy said exasperated. I stuck out my tounge at him. "Sorrryyy" I said not the least bit sorry. "Well now that everyone is here we can start." Chiron said "Joy." Mr. D mumbled. I ignored him as i always do. "Aegea i have a feeling you had something to tell me?" Chiron asked concerned. "Well, umm, yeah kinda" She stuttered clearly uncomfortable. "Spit it out Angela so&so" Mr. D yelled annoyed. Aegea glared at him but continued. Her eyes switched between a dark blue and a pale green as she was angry at Mr. D. (Who isn't?) and shy about telling her dream. "Well i have been having these dreams and one was more a flashback from when i was younger i guess" she started. She told us the dream and then Percy said how he had a similar dream. She then said she had another dream but she wouldn't say what its about. I wonder why? By now i knew what was coming because i was with her earlier. Mr. D. and Chiron were the only ones who didn't know. "So when Percy came i recognized him and he recognized me and i think my dreams were right." She gulped "I'm 99.9 percent sure Percy's my twin brother making Poseidon my Dad." She looked so uncomfortable! i felt bad for her and i don't normally feel bad for many people. "Well that, er complicates things for this summer." Chiron said. They must of already explained everything to her & Jake 'cause they understood what Chiron was talking about. "You should all get back to training. Percy maybe you could take Aegea to practice at the beach & even though we're sure she's your sister she still has to stay in Hermes's cabin until she's claimed. "Yes Chiron no problem. Come on Aegea." Percy said heading out the door. I looked over at Annabeth who looked as if she wanted to follow Percy. I smirked it was so blatantly obvious they liked each other. I would definatly bring it up later. I smiled about it but deep down i was jealous. If only Luke hadn't joined the titans... I mentally kicked myself, I mustn't think of Luke! He's the bad guy now! He left me and i have to accept that!I sighed, knowing he was the bad guy didn't make anything easier. I still missed him, alot. Percy's P.O.V "Concentrate on the water. Will it to rise up!" i said to Aegea. I was at the beach with her helping her with her powers. So far she'd been able to splash me with a pretty good sized wave. Naturally i didn't get wet and she didn't either when i pushed her in. After she had been able to form a 6 1/2 foot wave i said "Why don't we take a break and then concentrate on something else?" "Okay" she said reluctantly. She seemed to be having fun splashing me with large waves. Oh well sucks for her. We sat down on a rock about 20 feet from the ocean. "Why do you think Dad hasn't claimed me?" she asked. "I don't know. He's probably waiting 'til dinner to." i said hoping i was right. "And if he does that means you get to move in with me" "Oh joy. Well its better sharing with one person rather then 10 or 15 in the Hermes cabin" she said. i laughed "Yeah i guess it is. Except when Tyson gets here it'll be 2 other people" i said. I had already explained that Tyson was our half brother. Then i realized i knew almost nothing about her life while she knew tons about mine. "So er, how was the orphanage" i asked hoping i didn't offend her. "It wasn't that bad. We went to school played sports, stuff normal kids usually do. It was kind of like having 50 other siblings. The best part was when Jake came when we were 5. We were best friends from the start and have been ever since. He was almost adopted when we were 8 and i was so sad that i begged the director Caroline not to let him go. She told the family that someone else had already started the papers for adoption and they left." She smiled at the memory "When we were 10 i started having these weird dreams about the Greek gods. i didn't realize 'til i got here what they meant. At the time i thought it was 'cause of the Greek week the older kids had for history. They put on a play of Jason and the Argonauts. I continued to have those dreams but i never thought anything of it. Finally in 6& 7th grade we studied Greek mythology which i took an immediate liking to. I always found it interesting and we put on 2 plays. A version of the Odyssey for the younger kids. I got to play Calypso." She smirked when i paled at the mention of her name "An the invasion of Troy for our grade and up. Ironically i played Athena in that one" I laughed out loud. what were the chances of that? "I was kind of obsessed with mythology after that. Caroline got me a huge book on it for my 13th birthday. I wonder if i brought it?" she said thinking it over carefully. "Well if you did we can look at it later and see how much of it is correct can't we?" i said "Yeah i guess we could" she said. "Do you want to practice sword fighting?" i asked. She frowned. "I guess, but none of the swords feel balanced in my hands" she said "I saw that and i think i know one that will." i said "Can i see your ring?" "Sure" she said raising her eyebrows. I looked at it, manly at the heart. Then following Chiron's instructions i twisted the heart around and it grew into a celestial bronze sword much like mine. Aegea gasped at it. "Ta da! I noticed the ring while you were sparring Annabeth earlier. I didn't think you would have a celestial bronze ring before you came to camp so i asked Chiron about it. He said Grover had had a feeling there were two half-bloods at your orphanage, a boy and a girl. So Chiron gave him the ring." i said "It's called Tidal Wave." "Well that works. So does Jake have an amazing transforming ring too" She asked saying the "amazing transforming" part sarcastically. "Uh no don't think so. I bet Nico found him a sword when he asked Hades to supply a cabin for him and Jake" i said

Aegea's P.O.V I frowned frustrated. Me and Percy had been practicing for 2 hours and i still hadn't beat him even with my new balanced sword,which by the way, is very cool. So now i was hot sweaty and tired and wanted to go jump in the ocean to cool off. The ocean! That's it! It's a long shot but it may possibly work. I turned back to Percy. "Okay one more time." He shrugged his shoulders and took his stance as i took mine. We started and once again he started getting the upper hand. Then i put my plan into action. I dodged his strikes moving myself so his back would be facing the ocean. Once he was i started advancing a little bit so he was within 5 feet of the ocean. Then i just parried and dodged his strikes concentrating on the water. I willed it to rise and it did. It kept rising until in was about 5 1/2 feet tall. Not as big as i hoped but good enough. I waited 'til Percy stuck again and then sent the water crashing down on him. He wasn't expecting it and landed face first in the sand. Using the advantage i stepped over him and put Tidal Wave at the back of his neck. he turned onto his back and i smiled and said "i win" "No fair you cheated!" he burst out "No i didn't. You never said anything about only using swords" i said smiling. He scowled and muttered "cheater" under his breath. i turned and ran into the ocean but didn't get wet. "If you go underwater you don't have to hold your breath you know" he said. i hesitated but went under. It took some work to not breathe but i did. This was amazing! I swam out further than i ever would of dared before. A fish swam by muttering something like "always me who doesn't get picked" No way. i can hear the animals? i looked at Percy who was underwater with me. He nodded as if he knew what i was gunna ask. WE broke to the surface. "Horses too" he said. "Blackjack loves to talk" "And that is.." "Oh one of the pegasus's(A/N: pegasi?)" he said. "Oh of course." i said i we neared the shore. I was still hot and sweaty so i let myself get wet. "We better head back. Dinner will be starting soon and you'll probably want to change out of your now wet clothes." he said "Yeah probably" i said getting out of the water. And with that i headed toward the Hermes cabin to change.

Jake's P.O.V I smiled as i watched Aegea head toward the cabins. She was so cute! i mean er.. ah forget it. Oh my gods who am i kidding! I've known her for 10 years and I've liked her since the 7th grade. She doesn't know that but unfortunately Nico now does. "So let me get this straight, you like her but she doesn't know that andd you don't want to tell her 'cause you don't think she likes you" Nico said. I glared at him and replied "Yes and i swear to the gods if you tell ANYONE i will personally send you to Dad. And i don't mean alive either" i threatened. He sighed "Okay i won't tell." "Swear on the River Styx!" "I, Nicodi Angelo swear on the River Styx that i won't tell Aegea or anyone else that Jake likes her." Nico grumbled. "You're just as bad as Percy" "Let me guess. He likes Annabeth?" i said. It was so obvious beyond belief and i haven't been here that long. "It's kind of obvious" "Exactly! That's what i keep telling him!" Nico exclaimed. I laughed at his annoyance. "Come on it's almost dinner and we probably shouldn't be late. Plus they've put in our own table!" i said happily. I hated sitting with Mr. D. and Chiron. "You're right let's go" Nico said.

Aegea's P.O.V After beating Percy after about 100 defeats ( i cheated but whatever) i returned to the Hermes cabin. On my way back i could of sworn i saw Jake and Nico by a dune. I'm probably imagining things. Why would they come watch me & Percy fight? Whatever. I looked around for my stuff in the pigsty we call the Hermes cabin. I couldn't find it though. I looked everywhere! Then i heard the horn calling us to dinner, crap!. I'll just have to be wet. As i headed out the door and ran towards the dining pavilion i was thinking of who possibly took my clothes! Probably Connor or Travis, i thought angrily. "Conner, Travis!" i yelled "Where is all my stuff?" i yelled trying to look as menacing as possible. "I uh, it was Connor's idea! They're under the sink" Travis stuttered. Guess my menacing face worked. i thought with a laugh. All of a sudden i was aware of everyone staring at my head. I looked up just in time to see a green holographic trident disappear. Finally I'd been claimed. "I present you Aegea.. Jackson, daughter of Poseidon" Chiron said happily. People started to bombard him with questions. "Jackson?" "Another one? What about the prophecy?" "QUIET!" Chiron bellowed. "We found out earlier Aegea was Percy's brother, his twin actually. The prophecy would now apply to both of them. Aegea would please move over to your respective table." He asked. "Sure no problem" i said. Then i looked at Travis and Connor "You guys got lucky" I walked over to where Percy and Grover were sitting. They smiled at me as did Annabeth, Thalia, Nico and Jake. "Finally i have someone to sit with!" Percy said "What about me?" Grover asked pretending to be hurt. "You can sit wherever you want. Aegea HAS to sit here" Percy replied. Grover bleated as if to say 'so what?' I looked over one more time at the Hermes table where a pitcher of water sat not to far away from the twins. "Hey Percy could you do me a favor?" I asked. He put down the huge chicken wing he was eating and said something that i believed to be "Sure, what do ya want?" "See that pitcher of water over there? Do you think you could conveniently make it splash up at the twins?" i asked with an innocent smile. " I could but i won't for to reasons. 1 i don't wanna get in trouble and 2 you can probably do it yourself." I pouted. I guess I'll have to this myself. First i looked at Mr. D and Chiron, they weren't looking. Then i looked over to Hermes's table. I concentrated on the water as hard as i could. Thalia must of realized what i planned to do because she started laughing. Annabeth, Nico & Percy joined in as well. I don't think Jake got it 'cause he looked very confused. Then Nico whispered something to him and he started laughing. Nico then whispered something else and Jake turned bright red. Now i had to concentrate on the water to keep from laughing. I was trying but it only moved a little. Luckily no one noticed. Dad please help me!i asked in my head. All of a sudden the water flew out of the pitcher hitting Connor and Travis in the face. Everyone one stopped and looked at them in dead silence. Then they all burst out laughing, Mr. D included. Chiron tried to give a disapproving look but he was trying to hide a smile. "Aegea could you come here please" He asked. This just made Percy laugh harder. Red- faced i got up and walked over to him. "I'm glad you have discovered how to use your gift but could you refrain from using it at dinner?" he asked kindly "Yes Chiron" i said looking down. I walked back over to my table picked up my plate and went with Percy to burn some of it. When i did the smell of the ocean and beach filled my nose. Thanks Dad. Travis & Connor glared at me as i walked by but i gave them my best smile and continued my way back to my table. Yes it was going to be a good summer.

Annabeth's P.O.V That was priceless! Oh my gods i wish i had had a camera. I have to remember to congratulate Aegea for that. It's been a while since a trick was played on those 2. I looked over to where Aegea, Grover and Percy were sitting. Stupid rule, i mean why must we sit at our own tables? Whats the difference? I guess I'll have to ask Percy after dinner. "Uh Annabeth?" My brother Malcolm asked "Yes?" "Aegea wanted me to give you this." It was a note written on a napkin. Except when i opened it i saw it wasn't from Aegea it was from Percy. Wise Girl, Meet me at the beach after dinner. Please? Oh yeah sorry about forgetting to meet you before dinner. I got an unexpected shower at the beach today *glares at my sister* and had to change. Well talk to you later. From, Seaweed Brain I smiled. I had forgotten all about about meeting him before dinner. Oops. I remembered i had wanted to talk to Aegea and Thalia later, it could wait 'til tomorrow. Tonight i would hang out with Percy, i haven't seen him all year, I deserved it. I folded up the note and put it in my pocket and sat back in my chair. I couldn't wait for dinner to finally be over! Annabeth's P.O.V When i walked down to the beach i saw Percy sitting there looking out to the water. I smiled and crept as quietly as i could up behind him. Luckily he didn't hear me and i covered his eyes with my hands and said "Boo!" He yelped but realized it was only me. "Jeez wise girl you scared me there." He said his green eyes playful. " Deja vu?" i asked "Something like that." "Listen Percy i wanted to apologize for the end of last summer & not responding to any of the calls or iris- messages" he frowned waiting for me to say more so i continued. "It's not that i didn't want to be friends or that i liked Luke more. It's just that i loved Luke -" he stiffened " as a brother" I i finished. He visibly relaxed. "And it's hard to accept that he's completely bad." Percy regarded me carefully. "Okay i believe you wise girl." "Good 'cause I'm telling the truth" "I certainly hope so." he said i laughed "So how's having a new sister working for ya?" "Good, weird kinda. It kinda sucks i'll have to share my cabin though." " You could use it. Maybe she'll be neater than you are." "Maybe. Uh Annabeth?" he started "Yes Seaweed Brain?" "I, uh, I... I think, I think i better um get going. You know? Uh help Aegea get settled in?" He stammered. I didn't want him to go but i couldn't exactly stop him. "Yeah, i probably should get going to." I said trying to hide the disappointment in my voice. I don't think i did very well but he didn't seem to notice. "Yeah, so talk to you later Annabeth. Bye" He said. He got up quickly and started running towards his cabin only to trip and fall. Once a seaweed brain always a seaweed brain. I stayed and stared at the ocean a little longer. Percy seemed like he had wanted to tell me something else. Oh well, he'll tell me when he's ready. If he doesn't i understand. I was so mean to ignore him! He's always been there for me but i can't seem to be there for him. I got up headed back to the Athena cabin ready for a long sleep.

Percy's P.O.V I punched my wall. Why couldn't i just tell her i liked her?! i punched the wall again - hard. Oww! i frowned and sat down on my bed. Aphrodite was probably having a heart attack. Either when i was going to tell her or when i didn't. I heard a knock on the door. "Can i come in?" Aegea asked. "It's your cabin too." "Yeah i know, just used to it i guess" she said. She sounded sad. "Whats wrong?" "Nothing. Just the Ares kids. What's wrong with you?" i sighed she wasn't going to give a full answer to my question so i might as well not bother. "Nothing." "Are you sure? It sounded as if you were hitting the 's why i came in." i blushed. "Yes im sure. Nothing's wrong" "Is it something with Annabeth?" How did she know!? i swear if Nico told her... "It doesn't take a genius to figure out you like her Percy" "Fine it is. Happy?" "Quite" she said with a satisfied smile. "So are you going to tell her you like her?" "I've tried-" "But your a wimp and don't have the guts?" "First of all i am NOT a wimp. Second of all it's Annabeth.I can't be like hey i like you" "Sure you can. You just don't" i glowered "Enough about me. How 'bout you? Do you like anyone? I don't know... like a certain son of Hades?" i said hoping my change of subject would work.

Aegea's P.O.V Aw crap. Is he serious? Of all the people in camp he had to say 'son of hades?' I know he meant Jake but there is no way i was going to admit that. "Nope. Nico's too young for me" i said with a smile. "You know that's not who i meant" "Jake? i don't like him like that. He's my best friend! I don't like him however there is this son of Apollo.." i said hoping he'd believe my lie. If he didn't he didn't show it. "I see. What's his name?" "Uh actually I'm not sure. Well i got to go. Just thought i'd check in. So um bye" i ran out the door before i could hear his response. Unfortunately today wasn't my lucky day and within a minute of running i ran into Jake. Literally. "Ooph. Oops sorry Jake." I said feeling my blush growing. "It's K. Where are you in such a rush to get to?" he asked. i actually wasn't sure. Think Aegea think! "Uh the beach to um practice what Percy was teaching me earlier" i said way to quickly. " I see. I was going to the forest to do the same thing but if you want company i could go to the beach instead" "Yeah! i mean sure that would be cool." I said. Stupid! Ugh i can't speak right today. We headed to the beach talking about random things like camp. Finally after what seemed like hours we got there. I ran out to the water. "Watch this!" i said "What? he asked coming over. "This!" is said making a small squirt of water hit him in the face. I laughed. "See I've been practicing" "Great" he mumbled. He turned around and started chanting something i couldn't hear. All of a sudden a giant hole opened up in the sand and 3 skeleton warriors appeared. I shrieked and hid behind Jake as they walked toward us. He laughed and said, "They're not gunna hurt you unless i say so." i didn't care they still were too creepy for my liking. I backed up into the ocean without getting wet of course. It made me feel much safer and i waded out until i was about waist deep and stayed there. "Aren't you cold?" Jake asked. He was hardly up to his knees and shivering while i was quite warm. "No should i be?" "Er guess not but i am. I'm going to sit and dry off" he said as he waded out to where the skeletons were standing. "Um. Do you think you can send away your little friends?" i said indicating toward the skeletons. "I could but that would defeat the purpose of training" "Fine. I'll be underwater." "What?" he said. That was the last thing i heard before i dove under. Once under i stopped holding my breath. Even though i'd done it before it was still exciting. I swam out a little deeper and then stopped and listened. I heard some small fish that were near by chatting away in my head. Then i realized i had only been hearing it in my head. I wonder... Uh, Mr. fish? i thought. This is stupid, I'm trying to talk to a fish? Then i heard Who said that? Oh my gods. I was talking to a fish. I did. Over here! the fish turned around and stared at me curiously. i know this is probably really weird. I'm the daughter of Poseidon and apparently that gives me the ability to talk to fish. Probably other sea creatures too. i said guessing about the last part. Well then. That's different. I'm Frankie by the way. the fish replied. Ok weird, it has a name. Uh, cool I'm Aegea. Uh i better go meet my friend. i said thinking of Jake. I swam quickly to the surface hoping those skeletons were gone. I popped my head out and thankfully they weren't there. "Aegea? Why are you so far out?" Jake yelled over the waves. I looked back and realized i was about 100 yards out. Oops. "Coming!" i yelled swimming back quickly. When i got there Jake was staring at me. "How are you not wet?" he asked "'Cause I'm special" i joked "Just kidding. I don't get wet unless i want to. And i can talk and hear sea creatures. Percy says i can hear horses too. I don't know if i can talk to them though." "Are you feeling okay?" Jake asked bemused "Fine! I swear to god!" thunder rumbled. "I mean the gods! I met a very nice fish named Frankie." i said "If you say so.." "I swear!" "Okay Sea Girl! Sheesh no need to get mad! Please don't get me wet though! I'm wet enough as it is." He pleaded. "Fine i won't. But its already dark, we should head back Death boy" I said smiling. "Death boy? How lame is that?" "Very but it was the first thing i thought of. Come on!" i said exasperated. "Why? Is someone scared of dark? 'Cause I'm not" He said "No I'm not. Can you ever just cooperate?" i asked "Let me think... nope" i sighed. "I'll race you." "Okay" he said "Ready... Go!" i said running full speed "Cheater!" he yelled "Nope. Just smarter." i said pulling ahead leaving him in the dust. Well in the sand. Annabeth's P.O.V "Annnnaaaabettthhhhhh!" my brother Malcolm yelled in my ear. "What?!" i said sitting up too quick and hitting my head on the top bunk. Ow. "Wake up sleepyhead it's almost time for breakfast." he said "Oh snap." i said bolting out of bead and hitting my head. Again. I ran and threw on a pair of shorts and my camp half-blood tee. "Okay i'm ready, i gotta go. See you at breakfast." i said and ran out the door. "Okay?" Malcolm called. i headed down to the beach hoping to see Percy. Maybe he would tell me what he was going to last night. As i was walking past the Aphrodite cabin Silena opened the door. "Hi Annabeth!" She said brightly. Okay Silena's my friend but i don't really see her that much so i was a little confused. " Hi Silena?" i said as more of a question. "I was wondering if you would meet me in my cabin after breakfast." she said. I gave a involuntary shudder. The Aphrodite cabin was pink and frilly and deffinatly not mykind of place. Silena seemed to notice my shudder and raised her perfectly plucked eyebrows. "Sorry, just got the chills. And sure that sounds great!" i said trying to sound ethusiastic. "Great! So i'll see you after breakfast!" As if on cue the conch shell horn blew signaling breakfast "Well we better get there, you know how Mr. D. hates it when we're late." she finished. i sighed but followed her to the dining pavilion. "So have anyone you want to ask you to the fireworks?" she asked. Of course she was refering to the annual 4th of July fireworks that were three weeks away. Although it was just fireworks it was one of the biggest 'couple' things at camp. And the Aphrodite kids revered it as if it were a holy day. "Silena! Those are 3 weeks away!" i exclaimed "I know but you have to be prepared!" she insisted. Always Aphrodite's daughter. "I guess," thankfully we had arrived at my table "Well see you after Annabeth!" she said jogging off to see her sisters. "Yeah" i muttered under my breath. This day was starting out just great.

Aegea's P.O.V The breakfast horn woke me up. Aw crap. Guess staying up late last night wasn't my best bet. I looked over to where Percy's bed layed empty and unmade. I sighed, i'd fix that later but i had no time now. If there's one thing i've learned so far it's that you don't keep Mr. D. waiting. I grabbed on a pair of khaki capris out of my bag i still neglected to unpack and threw on my camp half- blood tee. I started towards the door but stopped grabbed Tidal Wave off my bedside table and then raced toward the dining pavilion. When i got there out of breath (naturally) i was greeted by Mr. D. Great. "Angela Jefferson how nice of you to join us rather late today, if you could kindly take your seat we can begin" He said. The Ares table snickered, Clarisse the loudest. I gave them all my best death glare and sat down. Mr. D. started droning on and i effectivly blocked him out. "Where were you?" Percy asked quietly. "Sorry i woke up late, i was really tired. I was up late and hardly slept" i said even quieter. I had already got in trouble and i didn't want it to happen again. " Is it that same dream you wouldn't tell me about" he asked "The same one" i said. It was that dream where i first found out Percy was my brother. It had changed slightly and it was scarier if even that was possible. Instead of Kronos having Jake it was someone not much older than us and presumably from camp. Bigger prehaps but that's it. I don't know who it is though! In my dream their face is covered by a black mask and they are wearing completely black clothing. (i know how cliche is that?) Anyway thats one difference, the other is Percy's passed out and gagged and bleeding from little cuts and scratches at this person's feet (shall i call him a robber? 'Cause that's what his outfit reminds me of.) Thank the gods he's not stabbed though! Annabeth and Thalia are still with me and Annabeth is still crying. Thalia however is shouting insults that i won't repeat here. But what it comes down to is the choice is still the same. Join the Titans and my friends live, don't and they die. Plesant right? Ugh! This is horrible! Someone at camp is a traitor and i don't know who! I bring my food up with Percy and pray for some help. Dad, please please please help me figure out who the traitor is! Who knows, they could be the deciding factor in the war? Anyway please help me! Walking back to my table Silena slipped me a note. When i sat down i read it, Hey Aegea! After breakfast meet me at my cabin. K? thanks! Oh and don't let Percy see this. Buhbyee -Silena I sighed and looked over to Silena trying my best for and enthusiatic smile. She smiled back but her eyes told me this was an order not a request. I gave a thumbs up and turned back around. The Aphrodite cabin must be my least favorite cabin. It was pink, almost disgustingly neat and was full of mirrors. Not exactly my cup of tea. Percy leaned over and tried to look at the note. I folded it up and put it in my pocket. "Sorry Perce, my eyes only" He frowned "First of all don't ever call me 'perce' again. And second, fine" he said "K Perce" i said smiling. He groaned and turned to talk to Grover who had just arrived at the table. i looked over to the newly built Hades table where Jake and Nico sat chatting away. I looked at Jake, his dark hair falling into his equally dark and beautiful eyes. He turned around and smiled at me. Blushing furiously i turned around but ending up meeting Silena's face who had a huge grin on her face. Great. (A/N: in case you haven't notice this is her fav. word to say when something really isn't that great. It also happens to be mine..) The rest of breakfast i kept my eyes firmly on my plate where i was pushing my food around with my fork. This day just keeps getting better.

Nico's P.O.V I turned to Jake who had turned a nice shade of red after he caught Aegea staring at him. "Wow man, she was checking you out." i said "You know you have the weirdest mind of any 13 year old i've ever met?" "Yeah, anyway back to my point" "Which is?" he interupted. Jeez someone's slightly annoyed. I wonder who could of done that to him... "I was saying you should ask her out or somethin'. At least tell her you like her." "What?!" he half shouted looking at me as if i had just grown three heads like Cerebus. "You heard me. Come on! First Percy now you?" i said. "I don't know.... i mean i really good friends and if she doesn't like me back..." "Jake! She was just looking at you! Do you need more proof?" i almost yelled. "Plus if you don't that prissy son of Apollo, whats his name? Jonathan. Jonathan may ask her, i've seen him paying attention to her." My comment had the desired affect. Jake got mad as a son of Hades is apt to do. "If he ever dared, i swear i, if he dared!" Jake said angrily. Haha! I love it when my plans work! "So will you ask her?" i said hopeful "Hmm, let's think. No!" He yelled. A few people turned and stared at us curiously. Nice going Jake. "But why?" i whined. At this point you would of thought i was a son of Aphrodite and not Hades *shudder* "Because, i could give you a million reasons. Here's one, she just happen to be my BEST FRIEND!" he said relativly calmly, wow i'm impressed. "And... your point is? Percy says Annabeth's his best friend but he still likes her." i offered. "You are not making things any better Nico. Please shut up before i'm tempted to hurt you." he said very annoyed. I thought he was kidding but one look at his face and i realized he wasn't. Okay, different subject. "So how 'bout that weather we've been having?" "Nico, we have the same kind of weather everyday" "I know, that's what i'm here for. To point out the obvious"

Aegea's P.O.V I felt a great amount of dread walking toward Silena's cabin. I gave one last sigh and opened the door. My jaw dropped and i started laughing out loud. I tried to cover it up with my hands but it didn't work. In front of me sat Annabeth, Thalia and get this, Clarisse! They all had scowls on their faces. "Are you done yet punk?" Clarisse asked. "Almost," i said letting out one last guffaw "Okay i'm good" "Good now sit down." Silena said coming up behind me. I hadn't realized she was there. "Now what do you want" Annabeth asked. "Why nothing!" Silena said wide eyed "Just to play a little game of truth." i groaned. The girls at the orphanage constantly played this. It was truth or dare without the dare, and let me tell you, playing with a wide range of girls can get boring. I sat back expecting this to be much the same. "Do we have to?" Clarisse whined. "So you'll fight 5 monsters but you can't handle a game of truth?" i asked. She glared at me. "You better watch it punk, you're just as bad as your brother." "Clarisse relax." Thalia said from across the room. "Okay then now that that's settled let's begin starting with Annabeth" Silena said happily. Annabeth groaned but asked her question "Thalia how did you like being a hunter?" "I hated it, so boring" Thalia responded. "Um, Clarisse do you like Chris?" "NO!" she lied. Thalia raised her eyebrows. " I mean, uh, maybe a little" she mumbled. Hmm maybe this wouldn't be as bad as i thought it would. "Silena," Clarisse said choosing her next victim. "Would you ever go out of your cabin without make-up?" "Nope" she responded. She looked around at everyone but me. Then she said "Aegea, do you have a thing for Jake?" You have got to be kidding me. "Uhh, umm..." i didn't not want to admit this! But i had the feeling they'd know if i was lying "Yes kinda i guess. I mean i guess i like him..." "I knew it!" She squealed. The door opened and there stood Percy and that kid from Apollo. The same one i had told Percy i liked earlier. How ironic can you get? "Knew what?" My ever curious brother asked. "Nothing!" I said going outside with them and shutting the door. "what do you want?" i hissed. "I don't want anything. Jonathan here saw you were struggling at archery and was wondering if you wanted help." Jonathan. That was his name, he had archery the same time as me. "Uh sure that'd be good" i said. Percy smirked, why in Hades would he do that? Oh, he thought i liked him. I glared at him. "Well i better go, Silena and them are waiting for me, see you guys later" Soon as i walked in the door they all attacked me with questions. I explained everything including the part about Jonathan being the person i had told Percy i kind of liked. "Oh my gods Aegea! He's totally into you! Not to mention he's like the 5th or 6th hottest guy in the whole camp! What are you gunna wear?" Silena gushed. "Woah slow down! What do you mean he's 'into me'?" i asked "Didn't you see him staring at you?" She asked. I looked over to the others who nodded their head in comfirmation "Um, ok that's kinda, er weird." "WHAT!?" Silena screamed, "Girl you don't know how lucky you are! i mean Jonathan!" Okay sure Jonathan is cute and everything but there's something about him that bugs me. Plus he's probably just like his dad. My thoughts were once again interpted by Silena "So what are you gunna wear?" "Um, what i'm wearing now. It's just archery, i see him everyday there." Silena pouted clearly mad at my fashion choices. Oh well she'll live. "Speaking of which we better get going to our activities." They all shot me a grateful look, even Clarisse and said "Yeah we better go." "Oh okay, we can finish our game some other time then" Silena said brightly. "Yup" When we got outside everyone dispersed to their various activities except Clarisse. "Listen at least i know you don't like him but be careful. There's something fishy about that guy" she said and then ran off to wherever she was going. Okay weird, Clarisse, who isn't very fond of me lets say, is giving me advice. I have a feeling she might be right too. Keeping that in mind i headed towards the archery feilds to hopefully not hurt anyone and to find out if Clarisse's suspicions are right Aegea's P.O.V It's been a little less than 3 weeks since Jonathan first offered to help me. It's also been a little less than 3 weeks since Silena's game of truth and trust me, I'm not complaining. My days have been spent pretty much doing the same thing; wake up, breakfast, ancient Greek with Annabeth, train, train, more training, lunch at some point in between, train ( usually archery after lunch which has become, weird to say the least), train some more, free time usually spent at the beach or in the woods with my friends, dinner, train, train, bed. Then all over again the next day. The 2nd week i was here we had a game of capture the flag. It was Poseidon, Athena, Hades and Hermes versus Ares, Zeus, Demeter, Hepatitus (spelling?) , Aphrodite, Apollo & Dionysus. We won the first 2 games but they won the last one. Whatever. As i was saying before archery has been weird. I mean I'm no good at it to begin with, even worse than Percy and he's really bad. Jonathan's been helping me and I've been doing a little better, but it's his method of help that creeps me out. Take today for example, apparently i wasn't holding my bow the right way so Jonathan came over stood behind me put his arms around me and his hands on mine and helped me shoot the arrow. Sure enough it did land close to the center of the target (except i think that may have to do with the fact i did nothing). Anyway as Jonathan was helping me Jake walked by and gave i gave him a pained look. He laughed and gave me a sympathetic smile. I wish he was helping me instead of Jonathan. Clarisse was actually right, there's something about him that's weird. I sighed. "What's the matter baby?" Jonathan asked. Ugh. "First of all I'm not your 'baby' and second of all nothing's the matter" Except that i wish you were Jake. i said. "Sorry baby" he said. Some people can't take a hint can they? Even though i said it to his face. He's too much like Apollo. Which reminds me, i have to tell Percy i don't like Jonathan. Every time i see him he asks me how archery went & it starts to get on ones nerves. "So are you going to the fireworks next week?" he asked. "I don't know yet. Why?" "Oh no reason" he said with a grin. Okay, I'm really really starting not to trust him. I don't know why though! It's very infuriating. And who cares about fireworks? They have them everywhere on the 4th of July. Thankfully it was time for dinner. "Welll Jonathan i gotta go get ready for dinner, bye!" "Bye baby!" i almost turned around and sent a wall of water crashing down on him but i was interrupted by Nico. "Oh hi Nico!" i said "Baby?" he asked smirking. Smirking. Another trait him and Jake shared. "I've asked him to stop a multitude of times but he ignores me. Very frustrating" i said "I see. So are you going to the fireworks next week?" he asked. Why does everyone keep asking me that? "I. Don't. Know. WHY?" i almost yelled. "No reason, someone asked me to ask you" he said "May i ask who?" "Nope." he said with a smile and ran off to the Hades's table. It was the first time I've actually looked at the table itself. It was black, very black, but other than that looked like all the other tables. The Hades cabin on the other hand didn't look like any of the others. It too was deep black but kind of shiny. The window frames looked as if they were made out of bone and the door knob was a small carving of a skull. Creepy right? I have no clue what the inside looks like though because I've never been inside. "How was archery?" Percy asked sitting down next to me and startling me. "Jeez Percy! Did you have to sneak up on me? And archery was terrible." "Why, Jonathan was there." "I don't like him! Will you get that through your thick skull!?" "Sorry, you said you did." "Well i don't! And something about him is weird but i don't know what!" i said. Then Chiron pounded his hoof for attention. "First of all I'm sorry to say that the annual fireworks will NOT be held this year due to the upcoming, er, battle." he said. Silena looked as if she was going to hurt somebody. "Why does Silena look as if she's going to hurt someone?" i whispered to Percy "Umm, ask Annabeth or Thalia" he said. I had a feeling he knew and wasn't telling me. "Okay then." I said. I finished eating and waited to be dismissed. "Annabeth!" i yelled across the lawn running to catch up to her. "Hey Sea girl, what's up?" i groaned at her use of my nickname "Not you too!" i complained. "Sorry, it's just i hear Jake always calling you it so its kinda caught on" she said sheepishly "It's k, why is Silena talking to Chiron and looking hostile?" i asked. Annabeth laughed and explained. "Because the fireworks were cancelled. You see they're sorta the biggest 'couple event' of the summer and Silena was really hoping Berkendorf would ask her, you didn't hear that from me!" I laughed but paled. So that's why Jonathan and Nico were wondering if i was going. Annabeth seemed to notice "You alright?" she asked "Yeah, it's just that Jonathan asked if i was going earlier and then Nico said someone else asked him to ask me if i was going. Except at the time i didn't know why" she laughed. "Se- Aegea that's a good thing!" "No 'cause Jonathan creeps me out for some reason," she paled at this "And i don't know who Nico was asking for!" "Well doesn't matter now." she said distracted. "Come on we better get to sword fighting." i was confused but i followed her.

Silena's P.O.V "But Chiron you can't cancel the fireworks you just can't!" i complained. I can't believe they were going to cancel them! "It may be the last time we get to see them with the upcoming war!" he looked a bit shaken up about me mentioning the war but he didn't say anything. "I'm sorry Silena, i know the fireworks are a favorite of yours but we can't waste time to prepare them rather than weapons. I'm sorry" he said. I can't believe this!Then Mr. D walked in. "Yes sorry Sarah but we can't have the 4th of July party. What a pity. You will have to deal" he said sarcastically. That guy annoys the crap out of me! Then i had an idea worthy of Athena. Okay maybe not Athena but it was still pretty gods damn ah-mazing! "Chiron, what if the Aphrodite cabin put something together?" i asked sweetly "You can hardly swing a sword and you expect to put together fireworks?" Mr. D said. Once again i ignored him. "Okay even if we can't get the fireworks can we have a party or something down by the beach? Please? I swear Aphrodite's cabin will organize it all!" i asked almost begging now. "Well, i suppose.." "Thank you Chiron! Thank you! You won't regret it!" i said and ran to my sisters the fantabulous news.

Aegea's P.O.V [At dinner the next day] Chiron pounded his hoof and announced "I am pleased to inform we will be having a 4th of July celebration with thanks to the Aphrodite cabin. Fireworks may or may not be held. That is to be determined." he said and continued on with the rest of the announcements. I turned to Percy who actually had a big grin on his face. "Thinking about asking Annabeth?" i asked "What? No" he said blushing. "Why not, i bet she'd say yes." "Maybe but i would prefer to have Athena not kill me." he said shuddering "She won't kill you, not with the approaching war" i said regretting the last part. That's the last thing i want to think about. "Great so i'll either die by Athena's hand or by a prophecy." he said glumly. "Hey! It's not just your prophecy anymore, it's mine too." i said "Okay then we may both die. Happy now?" "Percy you are the most negative thinking person I've ever met. Nico and Jake are more positive than you" i said "Whatever, i'm still not asking her" "Fine then I'll ask for you" "Aegea Marie! You better not dare!" he yelled. Thalia and Nico looked at us. Nice going Percy. "Fine. Be that way" i grumped. "I will and if you do i'll ask someone for you" "You don't know who i like though" "I, uh, shut up I'll figure it out!" "Whatever you say Percy" After dinner i headed down toward the beach but before i got there Silena caught up with me. "Hey Aegea! I can't believe there's only 6 days until the 4th of July! I'm gunna need mom's help with this." She said, mumbling the last part to herself. "Hey Silena." "Anywho, who are you going to the party with?" she asked "Umm, no one?" "You have to go with someone! Jake hasn't asked you?" "NO! He isn't going to" i said annoyed. Why did i tell her i liked him? "Well then ask him." Silena said "Are you crazy? No!" "I most certainly am not crazy. You ask him the next time you see him and i guarantee you he'll say yes. And if you don't I'll have my mom make you fall in love with the next hellhound you see!" Gods dammit! So i can either be really embarrassed or fall in love with a hellhound. Normally i wouldn't believe a threat like that but Silena can be very convincing. "Fine. Next time i see him I'll ask him." i said glumly. I thought about what i just said, next time i seehim. Ha! I'll just avoid him! Perfect! "Well I'm gunna go down to the beach for a little. Talk to you later Silena!" "Bye Aegea! Remeber your promise!" "I will!"

Silena's P.O.V Perfect. I am so smart! Now i just have to find Jake... "Hey Jake can you come here for a minute?" i yelled over to where he was working with Berkendorf on some new weapons. Berkendorf. That's who I'm gunna ask soon (if he doesn't ask me) as i finish my duties with a few others. "Uh hi Silena what's up?" "Oh nothing much just thinking of what we'll need on the 4th of July." i said "Which reminds me! Have you asked Aegea yet?" "What?! Why would i be asking her?" he said. "Um well possibly 'cause you like her." He eyed me suspiciously "Who told you?" "No one! It's just a talent i have" "Greatt. But i can't ask her! She'll say no!" "No she won't, i promise you 100% she'll say yes. And if you don't ask her I'll have Artemis turn you into a jackalope!" i threatened much like i did to Aegea. "Fine." "Good. Now she's down at the beach so you can go ask her now." "What?!" "NOW!" i said. He swore under his breath and headed toward the beach. 2 down, 2 to go.

Aegea's P.O.V I decided to practice diving. I went up to the highest point on the beach, took i few running steps and jumped. First i did a front flip and then straightened out just before hitting the water perfectly vertical. Perfect! As i broke the surface i heard someones voice behind me on the shore. "Nice dive Sea Girl." It said. Jake. This is totally Silena's fault. Why did i tell her i was going to the beach? "Hi Jake" i said getting out of the water "Must be useful not to get wet" he noted. "Yeah it is" Silence. Ugh here it goes. "Would you wanna go to the 4th of July party with me?" Jake and i said at the same time. I opened my mouth, shocked. Then i laughed as did he. "Sure Sea Girl, only if you'll go with me" he said, his eyes twinkling. "Sounds good to me" I said with the biggest smile on my face. I must look like an idiot. "Good." "So did Silena-" We both started. "Yup she threatened to have Artemis turn me into a jackalope" He said in mock horror. "I wouldn't judge her Jake. I've heard it's been done." "Yeah well whatever. I was going to ask you sooner but i was afraid you'd say no" he said "So you'll take on a dracane (spelling?) but you're afraid of me?" i asked jokingly "You're a force to be reckoned with. I have to say I'm particularly brave for attempting. Plus if i didn't that prissy Apollo boy might of asked you." he shuddered "You mean Jonathan?" i asked "He has a name?" he asked. i laughed "Yes he does but even if he asked i would of said no. There's something fishy about him." i said. He nodded seriously. "So you noticed too? Nico & Annabeth think the same thing" "So does Clarisse." i said "Hmm. Well we'll worry about that later. I have to get back and help Berkendorf. I kind of left him hanging" "Well have fun with that. See ya later!" i said. I can't believe it! I'm gonig to the 4th of July party with Jake! YES! i never thought I'd think this but thank you Silena! I climbed back up the rock for another round of diving, all of which were slightly too energetic. I wonder why... Aegea's P.O.V You never realize how short a week can be. This week was exceptionally short. It's July 4th, Independence day. The Aphrodite cabin has organized a celebration for tonight and knowing them it won't be small or simple. Right now me and Thalia are waiting for Annabeth to come out of her cabin and then we're going to the beach to help Silena set up the stuff for later. We've been waiting for 10 minutes though. Finally Annabeth came out. "Hey guys! Sorry, i was looking at Daedalus's laptop." she said. Me an Thalia looked at each other, what else would she be doing? "Was that what you were doing? Not thinking about your date with my brother tonight?" i asked smirking. She blushed. Percy had asked her the same day me and Jake asked each other. I have the feeling Silena may have had something to do with that too. "Oh! Just come on!" she said. Thalia laughed. "Hey you have a right to think about him. 2 reasons, 1) Aegea constantly thinks about Jake-" Thalia started "I do not!" i interrupted "As i was saying, 2) You have someone to go with!" Thalia finished after my outburst. We fell silent, me and Annabeth had someone to go with but Thalia didn't. Not that she particularly minded. Yesterday she had claimed all the boys at camp were 'stuck up, prissy jerks' and then she quickly said excluding Jake and Percy. Notice how she said all the boys at camp. You see, we found out she kinda still has feelings for Luke. But she assures us she'll be fine come the end of summer when we have to, well, kill him. She says shes in love with the old Luke and he's not coming back. Her exact words, not mine. "Oh my gods thank the gods you're here!" Silena said "Some idiot spilled paint all over the dance floor!" Dance floor? I looked around Silena where behind her sat a large wooden platform. Sure enough there was a large puddle of red paint on it. It was still wet though, hmm maybe i could clean that quickly. "Silena tell everyone to back away from the platform for a minute" "Why?" "Just do it!" i said. She yelled through a large microphone and within less than a minute the platform was clear. I concentrated on the ocean that was maybe 20 feet away give or take a few feet. Then a wave came crashing down on the platform. The wet paint washed right off with the water. Now the only problem was the platform was wet. I went over and concentrated on drying the platform off much like (i've found) i can do to myself. Ha! It worked! "Oh jeez thank you Aegea!" Silena said gratefully. "No problem, anytime. If there's anything else you want me to do just tell me." i said "Us too" Thalia and Annabeth chimed in. Silena got the look on her face like she does when she's thinking hard. Aw Styx!

• Later on that afternoon*

"Silena!" i complained "Hey, you said anything i wanted and i want you guys to look good. Your gunna some of the best looking people there!" she said. We were standing in the Aphrodite cabin while Silena played dress up with us. Right now i was in a pale baby blue bikini with white polka dots (The party's down at the beach). It was a halter top bikini and something i normally wouldn't be caught dead in but here i was in it - alive. I wasn't the only one whos own swim suits had been deemed 'not good enough'. Thalia and Annabeth were next to me in bathing suits of Silena's choosing as well. Thalia had on a deep blue cut out one piece (very cut out) that she looked like she wanted to destroy Silena. I stifled a laugh. Lastly was Annabeth who was looking in the mirror and shaking her head. She was wearing a gray bikini with a little wooden owl on it. "Silena? Can we go now?" i asked trying not to yell at her. We've been here for an hour! "One minute" She called from the Aphrodite closet which could of been someones bedroom it was so big. Finally she came out holding three dresses. "Oh no! I don't do dresses!" i said horrified at the idea. I don't think I've ever wore much less own a dress. I mean i did for the plays at the orphanage but those were costumes. "Well you do now!" she snapped. She tossed me one and instructed me to put it on. I did and when i looked in the mirror i was shocked. It was a deep ocean blue with various other shades of blue in the skirt. It also was a halter like my bathing suit and came down to my knees. When i moved the skirt looked as if it was made out of water with the blues flowing together. It was beautiful and the prettiest dress I'd ever seen. Once i was done fawning over my dress i looked at what Thalia and Annabeth had been given. Thalia was in a floor length shimmery black dress. It had short sleeves (very short, they didn't cover her shoulder) with a deep scoop neck. It looked stunning on her and she seemed happy it was black. Annabeth was wearing a silver dress that came down to her knees like mine. The waist line was laced with dark blue designs. She was still unhappy about having to get dressed up but seemed to like the dress. "Thank you for all your help Silena. We better get going-" Thalia rushed hoping to get us outta here. No such luck. "You're not going anywhere yet. Not 'til we've done your hair! And maybe make up too"Silena said brightly i groaned, i couldn't help it. She seemed so very intent on driving me over the edge. 45 minutes later we were declared free. My hair was down and straightened and i wore virtually no makeup( except mascara and a little blush that Silena insisted i wear.) Annabeth and Thalia's hair was down. "FREE!" Thalia screamed running around in circles like a 2 year old. We started laughing hysterically. "You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Annabeth asked. "YES!" We all ran to our cabins. I opened the door and luckily Percy wasn't in there. I walked over to my dresser where i had finally gotten around to unpacking. I opened it but nothing was there! What in Hades? Only a note sat on the bottom of one of the drawers. Sorry Aegea, nice try! You'll get your clothes back after the party. (: xoxo - The Aphrodite Girls I can't believe them! I stormed out of the cabin and found Annabeth and Thalia there too. "Missing your clothes?" i asked. They nodded. "Well we can't do anything about it. Come on, let's head down to the beach." When we got there i forgot all about my anger of having my clothes stolen. It looked amazing! The dance floor was lined with small twinkling lights and red, white & blue streamers. There was music blasting from the DJ station & a table filled with food and drinks. Best of all was the ocean, it shimmered and glowed under the lights from the party. As annoying as Silena was earlier with the whole getting ready thing, when it comes to a party she's the person to plan it.

Percy's P.O.V I stood by the dunes with Jake, Nico and Berkendorf waiting for the girls to show up. The first person i saw was Aegea looking pissed to say the least. But as she looked around her anger changed to awe. The only thing that was hard to do was not laugh. She was in a dress! When you first meet her she doesn't exactly seem like a dress person. I'm totally gunna nag her about that- Woah. Annabeth appeared also in a dress. She's another person who wouldn't wear one but she looked beautiful! Her curls spilled over her shoulder and her face glowed in the lights. Wow. "I gotta go" Nico said quickly walking away. He headed over to where a bunch of Hermes girls were standing. Good Luck. i thought. Nico can sometimes come off, well scary. Berkendorf (who had finally asked Silena) headed over to her. She looked pretty but not nearly as pretty as Annabeth. Annabeth looked like a goddess. "There they are!" i heard Aegea yell. She started running but slowed down to a jog after she tripped. I laughed. "Hey Seaweed Brain!" Annabeth said smiling "Hi Annabeth!" i couldn't resist "What happened? Did Silena kidnap you guys?" "Pretty much" Thalia said glowering. Oops, wrong thing to say. "So do you guys wanna go swimming?" i asked. "Not yet. We all won't stay dry and I'm starving! We didn't get a chance to eat lunch" Annabeth exclaimed. "Yeah, food would be good." Aegea said. I sighed but followed them towards it. After filling up we started back towards the water through the dance floor. Then being the lucky person i am, a slow song came on. "Hey wise girl, wanna dance?" i asked. I actually wasn't nervous this time. It was third time i asked her to dance, once at Westover hall and once on Olympus. "Sure!" she said placing her hands on my shoulders as i placed mine on her hips. May be the third time, not any less awkward. I looked around me where other people were dancing. Nico had managed not to scare off the girl from Hermes and was dancing with her. Silena and Berkendorf were dancing as was Aegea and Jake. Soon the last chords of the song died down and stopped. "Finally a dance where we're not interrupted or being shot death glares from our parents" Annabeth said "Yes, it's nice not having a major goddess breathing down your neck." I said shuddering. Annabeth laughed "Well me and Aegea are gunna go find Thalia. See you later?" she asked "Yup. Me and Jake are gunna go spar in the woods" i said "K, sounds good. See ya later Seaweed Brain!" she said walking over to where Jake and Aegea were talking. They said bye and Jake headed over. "Ready?" i asked "Of course" he said pulling out his sword which was black like Nico's. He told me earlier is was called Afterlife being that's what it brought people too. We headed toward the woods where Nico usually practiced. Luckily he wasn't there. After a long 20 minute match i said "I'm gunna go to the stream real quick before we head back." "Okay. I'll wait" Jake said putting his sword away. I capped Riptide and put the pen in my pocket. I looked in the stream and splashed water on my face. All of a sudden i heard a branch snap. I whirled around but no one was there. I turned my head back towards the stream when *WHAM*"Ooph" i said clutching my head and crumpling to the ground. I looked up at my attacker who was clad in all black with a black ski mask covering his face. "Hello Perseus. Thanking you for volunteering to help today." they said. That was the last thing i heard before blacking out.

Jake's P.O.V. What was taking Percy so long? How long did he need to wash up? We were going swimming anyway. I put down my sword i had been polishing on a rock and started towards the stream. Then someone grabbed me from behind and placed a sword at my neck. What in Hades? i tried to turn around but the person clucked their tongue and said "It would prove you best not to move and listen to me. We should only have a little longer 'til our audience arrives" What audience?! Why did i put my sword down? Stupid stupid stupid. I struggled a little desperate to get free. The sword pushed a little harder drawing a small drop of blood. "I said don't move!" the voice growled. I froze as still as a statue and getting a really bad feeling about this.

Aegea's P.O.V It had been an hour since the slow song where i last saw Jake and Percy. Where were they? "Annabeth do you know where Percy and Jake are?" "Percy said him and Jake were gunna head for the woods to train for a little. Why?" she asked concerned Crap. I knew they wouldn't be gone this long. Maybe 1/2 and hour at the most. Something was wrong. "I think we should go find them. They wouldn't be gone this long." i said worried. "Oh my gods. We better go. Come on Thalia!" Annabeth said pulling Thalia away from her drink. We raced towards the woods. My heart was pounding and i had a really bad feeling in my stomach. Finally we reached a clearing. I looked around trying to remember where I'd seen this before. All of a sudden we heard someone behind us. "Nice of you to join us on this lovely independence day" The person said, "We have some things to discuss." Aegea's P.O.V I could of sworn my heart was going to fail it was beating so fast. Standing in front of me was Jake, with a sword held to his neck. Holding the sword was a person completely clad in black. A ski mask covered his face. I was afraid to look down, i already knew what i would see. I looked down anyway and there was Percy, gagged unconscious and bleeding. Once Annabeth recovered from her shock she cried out and started toward Percy but Thalia held her back. Annabeth started sobbing. Thalia face turned to an expression of pure fury and started shouting insults. "You son of a fury! Go roast in Tartarus!!" she yelled. I couldn't believe this. Dreams don't come true! This can't be happening! Then again when normal things happen to demigods? "Shut up daughter of Zeus!" he said spitting it out as if it were a curse word. Thalia for once shut up. He turned to me "Now i am going to make myself very clear. You and that airhead over there join Lord Kronos and your friends will go free. If you don't well, you might not want to know." Yeah right, he was holding 2 kids of the big three hostage and he would just let them go? " Will you please give us a minute." i asked politely trying to keep my voice calm. He seemed shocked by my request but acquiesced "Thalia get over here!" i hissed. She came leaving Annabeth kneeling on the ground sobbing. "What?" "I have an idea." i said then whispered it to her. She nodded and approached er, the person. "I shall tell thou my choice" Thalia started, she was speaking like her former hunter lieutenant used to "once you remove that hideous blade from that boy's neck." Jake looked as if he was praying to every god he knew that the blade would be removed. "How do i know if you lying?" the captor asked " I give thou my word " Thalia said composed. If it hand't been such a serious situation i would have burst out laughing. Slowly the captor removed the blade and placed it by his side. Thalia reached out and placed her hand on his arm. "I shall... not be joining you!" she yelled sending a lot of electricity running through him. He fell back landing on the ground. Thalia pulled out her spear and i whipped out Tidal Wave. The person stood up and swore. He put his knife up but realized he wouldn't have a chance. He stood Percy up by the collar of his shirt and did the same to Jake who had tripped when Thalia had shocked his captor. We advanced when suddenly he threw Percy at Thalia and Annbeth who had come running. Jake came at me, tripping once again. Me ,Thalia and Annabeth had no choice but to move our weapons out of the way as not to stab the boys. Jake hit me like a ton of bricks and we both fell to the ground. "Sorry Sea Girl!" he said. I looked over to where Thalia and Annabeth had caught Percy. The mystery person had run off, probably out of the camp borders. Gods dammit! Then me and Jake went over to help Thalia and Annabeth carry Percy back towards the ocean. He was bleeding but nothing life- threatening and the ocean would heal him. He was still unconscious though. We tried to be inconspicuous by going in the oceans near the dunes but natually we got caught. Chiron raced up to us and asked us to explain. He actually more demanded it. I'd never seen him this angry. Us girls explained as much as we could and left the rest to Jake.

Jake's P.O.V I had everyones complete attention. Lovely. I told them how me and Percy had gone to the woods to spar. Percy had gone to the river but hadn't come back so i put down my sword and went to get him. Then the 'person' as we're calling him grabbed me and placed the sword at my neck. Then he had basically held me like that 'til the girls came. Wow, i just got my ass saved by 3 girls. Pathetic. I thought. But i guess it wasn't all bad, i mean one of them was Aegea. "Well that's not good" Chiron said, his brow furrowed in worry. "That's the understatement of the year" someone said. We all looked to see Percy sitting up holding his head. "Percy! You kelp head! You scared me to death!" Annabeth yelled running up to him and engulfing him in a hug. "Sorry. I went down to the river when someone whacked me over the head. I didn't even have time to pull out Riptide." He explained shaking his head in annoyance at himself. He stood up, all his cuts had been healed from the water thankfully. "Well you guys, and girls, should head back to the party. And please don't bring this up to anyone with the exceptition of Nico and possibly Grover" Chiron said. "Yes Chiron" we said simultaneously. I walked over and put my arm around Aegea who looked up and smiled. Even through her smiled i could tell she was worried. "Come on Sea Girl, we never got to swim yet!" i said jokingly. "Uh huh, we probably should though. Gods knows you need help at it" she said "I do not! I'm great swimmer!" i said indignant. She laughed "Sure you are Jake, whatever you say" i was glad she was smiling. "And no more going in the woods!" Chiron yelled. I gave him a thumbs up and headed towards the water where Percy, Annabeth & Thalia seemed to be having some sort of water fight. I may not be able to swim (even though i won't admit it) but i can splash some water. I tried to keep my mind off what had happened tonight but it kept coming back like a movie stuck on repeat. I shook my head Not tonight Jake, worry about it tomorrow.i thought. I was snapped back into reality when i was hit by a giant wave that knocked me into Aegea. I heard Percy laughing and glared at him. He gave me a innocent smile a turned back to Annabeth. Whatever I'll get him back later. For now i would spend the rest of the night with Aegea, my Sea Girl. Aegea's P.O.V After having Percy send Jake crashing into me i got of the water and sat down on the shore. Neither me or my dress was wet which was good 'cause i was too lazy to wait for it to dry. Wow, i just fought a enemy in a bathing suit and blue sparkly dress. They're going to think we're mental. i thought to myself. Oh well who cares. "OMGS Aegea!" Silena said sitting down next to me. i stiffened at first, thinking she heard what happened but luckily she hadn't. "You'll never believe what happened!" she said practically ready to burst. i didn't feel like guessing "I don't know, what?" i asked "Charles kissed me!" She said falling back into the sand. Charles? Oh Berkendorf. "Silena that's great!" "OMGS i know!" she squealed. Then she sat up and turned to me. "So hows Jake?" she asked "What?" i asked now very confused. I don't like it when people change subjects quickly. "Oh you know. I saw he had his arm around you" she said winking. I blushed furiously "That? Oh i was just," think Aegea think! "cold, just really cold" i finished "Really?" she asked raising her eyebrows "Yeah, these dresses aren't exactly warm you know." "True, but they look good so that's all that matters" she said. i rolled my eyes. "Well see you later Aegea" "Yeah bye!" After my short conversation with Silena the rest of the night went as a should. There were even a few fireworks. When i finally got back to my cabin i checked the time on the wall; 1:13. Oh gods i would be tired tomorrow. I changed out of my dress (my clothes had been returned as promised) and into a pair of sweat pants and a tank top. I lay down staring at the salt water fountain in the corner thinking about everything that had happened. Finally i drifted off to sleep. I was in a dark throne room behind a large column. On a gold throne sat Kronos/Luke. "Approach" he said. A figure cloaked in black stepped forward. The same one from tonight. "My Lord, " he said respectfully " I wasn't able to bring back the kids like you asked. The plan went a bit, off" he said bowing his head. "You blundering fool! What happened" Kronos demanded. "Well you see, i knocked out the boy- Percy and grabbed the older son of Hades from behind. A short while after the other kid of Poseidon and that airhead Thalia showed up along with that daughter of Athena. I told them the choice though i had no intention of returning the boys. Poseidon's child asked for a moment which i granted. When her and the daughter of Zeus turned back to me saying she only would answer if i lowered my weapon. Hesiantly i did and then the bitch shocked me! i fell backwards but when i got up i grabbed the two boys by the neck and threw them at the girls. During that time i was able to escape" the person said "IDIOT!" Kronos roared. " I SHALL GIVE YOU ONE LAST CHANCE! IF YOU FAIL THIS TIME YOU SHALL BE GONE! Now return to that pitiful excuse of a camp and complete your task this time!" Kronos screamed shaking the whole building. "Yes, Lord, sir" he said scrambling out of room. I jolted awake. The traitor was here, in camp.

Nico's P.O.V "Nico get up!" Jake yelled in my ear. Some thing like "Go to Tartarus" was my mumbled response and i rolled back over. "NICO! i said GET UP!" he shouted and then i was on the ground. Ow! "What was that for?" i asked as Jake placed the sheets he had pulled out from under me back on the bed. "'Cause its time for breakfast and you wouldn't get up." he said shrugging. "But i was up so late last night!" i complained "So was i and my night was a whole lot worse than yours. And if you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen" he said. I couldn't argue there. Percy had caught up with me and Grover and told us everything that had happened. Probably an enemy half blood that has now ran back to Kronos to beg for forgiveness. I threw on my black jeans and a black shirt and headed out the door. When i arrived at the dining pavillion i was greeted by a nice large plate of pancakes, french toast, regualar toast & bacon. Yum! i filled my glass with orange juice, poured syrup over everything and dug in. "Nico that's nasty" Jake scolded eating his neatly with a fork. i shrugged "Hungry." Was my response. "Guys! Meet me at the big house after breakfast right away!" Aegea said quickly(when did she get here?) "And Nico that's disgusting." i sighed, how many people were gunna tell me that? "Well see you in a bit" she said heading over to the Poseidon table. I looked over to Jake who was cherry red. "Looks like your girlfriend has something important to tell us" i said to Jake. He scowled "She probably does and she's not my girlfriend!!" he said "Whatever you say Jake." "I liked it better when your face was stuffed with food" he muttered softly but not soft enough. Well in that case i have a breakfast to attend to.

Aegea's P.O.V I raced to the big house with Grover and Percy. Thalia was already there. 5 minutes later Jake, Nico and Annabeth showed up. "Chiron we may have a problem" i said telling him my dream. His face turned serious "Yes we may. Unfortunately we do not know who this traitor is but keep an eye out" he responded "I'd rather keep both my eyes where they are" Nico said. I rolled my eyes "I was just kidding!" he said "Sorry Nico but now isn't the time for jokes" Chiron said "Yes Chiron" Nico said. "Now all of you better run along to your activities. Train hard and be sure to keep a lookout!" Chiron said. Me and Annabeth headed to the Athena cabin. I wasn't amazing at Greek but i was doing well. "How could have the person got to Mt. Tam so fast? He was there withing 4 hours!" i asked Annabeth. "I don't know. That's a mystery" she said "Great, exactly what we need, more mysteries" i said sarcastically. She rolled her eyes at me. "Come on, Greek can wait, it's not going to be helpful in battle. Training is more important right now." she said. I was shocked Did a child of Athena say to stop learning? "Yeah! Where to?" i asked "Swords" she said, "We need to be very good with swords"

Percy's P.O.V Sweat was pouring down my face. I was helping Berkendorf make a new shield because my old one had been lost last summer. It was so hot though! Annabeth and Aegea appeared at the door "Hey! We're ditching Greek and are gunna go practice with the swords for a little. You in?" Aegea asked. "I'm kinda busy" i said "Go ahead," Berkendorf said "I'll finish up here" "Thanks! i said putting away the mask that covered my face to protect it from the heat. We arrived at the arena where a bunch of other kids were practicing, Nico included. "Hey Nico!" Aegea said. He turned to look at us and waved, with his sword in hand, at us. "What's up? Why are you here so early?" he asked. "They decided to ditch Greek and Berkendorf let me off the hook." i said " Woah, Annabeth Chase decided to ditch a class? I never thought I'd see the day" everyone but Annabeth laughed. "HEY! Give me a break. I'm still learning and practicing. Just in a different field." she said indignant. We all laughed again and paired up. Nico was with Aegea and I was with Annabeth. We spent the rest of the hour sparring and switching partners. When i faced Aegea i had much more difficulty than i had the first time. Her moves were more precise and her defense was good as well. The problem was me and her fought very similar so our matches kept ending in a stalemate. Well i won the first one but after that they ended without a winner. Soon the horn blew signaling us to move to our next activity. Me, Annabeth and Aegea were already there. Nico said bye and headed off towards the rock wall. Jake however joined us taking the place of Nico. I was completely exhausted after the first hour as were Annabeth and Aegea. Only 55 more minutes to go. Aegea's P.O.V I was dripping with sweat, completely exhausted and barely able to lift my sword. The past two weeks I've practiced harder than I've ever practiced anything in my life. My life revolved around a strict schedule; wake up, eat, swords for 2 hours, archery, swords again, running, beach to practice powers/swords (2 hours), rock climbing, swords, dinner, swords/powers (or capture the flag if we have it), relax and study Greek (Me and Annabeth switched from the morning to later), bed and repeat. You noticed the amount of sword practice I'm doing. Let's put it this way, it's one of the only things I'm good at and one very important skill I'll need for my birthday. 'Cause whats on my birthday? Oh nothing important, just a ginormous battle where me and my twin brother have to decide the fate of humanity. Ahh, typical sweet sixteen. "Aegea!" The big brute of a girl from Ares that i was facing yelled "Pay." whack "Attention" whack. His blows came fast and furious but i blocked them with Tidal Wave. We'd been going at it for a good 15 minutes. "Come on sea spawn!" she said egging me on "Or are you afraid?" Okay that was the last straw.I parried her recent strike with Tidal Wave and waited for her next one to try out my newest move. I put my guard down slightly and she swung straight across at my neck. i leaned back into a back-bend the did a backwalk over kicking her sword right out of her hand. It worked but was a dangerous move and i would be sure to hear it from Percy later. Whatever. I pointed my sword at her chest and asked "What was that about being afraid?" she picked up her sword and stormed away. "Aegea! That was the most dangerous move I've ever seen" Percy yelled coming over. What did i say. "Well it worked didn't it?" i challenged "Well yeah but-" "Well nothing. It worked fine so get over it" i said. I didn't know why i was so mad. Usually i was one of the more calm and collected people in the arena. Not today. Annabeth came over too. "Wow, that was risky-" she started and never got a chance to finish. That was enough for a day. I was beyond pissed. All day everybody had been picking out what i did wrong, never what i did right! All of sudden everyone around me with the exception of Percy threw their arms out to balance themselves. They acted like the ground was shaking. Then i looked around and realized the ground WAS shaking. Woah. Was that my fault? I told it to stop and sure enough it did. Everyone stared at me slack jawed. I looked around and decided i needed a break. "I'll be at the beach." i said "Aegea-" Percy started. I whipped around and pointed Tidal Wave at him. "I said I'll be at the beach. K? K." he stood there shocked at my actions as everyone else already was. Whatever. I reached the beach in record time and immediately the scent of the saltwater soothed my frazzled nerves. I formed a giant ball of water. Then it turned into a giant spear of water. I sent it flying at the nearest rock. It splashed but nothing happened. Stupid properties of liquids. I sat down on the rock and started to think about the future. My birthday was in a month. Like i mentioned earlier that's when i would decide whether to help defeat Kronos or help him rise. Either way war was inevitable and people were going to die. I couldn't get over that fact. People were going to die. You hear about people dying everyday, on t.v, in the paper, on the radio. You never think much of it until it affects you personally. All my friends at camp, they would be fighting. We all would. It would be a children's war, literally. There are kids at camp anywhere from the age of 5 to 18. I blinked back tears. It wasn't right. 5 year olds. I thought back to the orphanage where the older girls like me would tell the little 5 year old girls stories to put them to bed. Here no one would be telling them stories. They would be preparing them for a war hey had no choice but to fight in. Me and my friends would be fighting and there was a very good chance we might not make it. That's what did it. The thought of my friends not making it. I started sobbing. "Sea Girl?" a voice called out. It was Jake. i didn't answer "Aegea are you okay?" he asked coming over and sitting down next to me. He put his arm around me like he had done the 4th of July. I looked up "What's the matter?" he asked concerned "I heard you shook things up at sword fighting" he smiled at his play on words. i laughed. "Kinda" i said. He reached his hand down and wiped away a stray tear from my face. "Was that what you were out here crying about?" he asked. i choked back a sob. If only was that simple. "No." i managed to keep my voice even. Then i poured everything out to him and he held me listening. Just like he's always done. "I know Aegea. I don't want it to happen either" he said. Then he leaned down to whisper something in my ear. But he didn't instead he kissed me! I was surprised at first but then kissed him back. It was the 1st time I'd actually kissed someone (Well i had actually kissed someone else but that's a long story involving, truth, dares and a lot of disappointment). We pulled away. "It's gunna be fine Aegea. OK?" he asked. i nodded. "I have to get back to archery" he shuddered "I hate archery" he said. i laughed "So do i" i said "See ya later Sea Girl" he said walking away. I broke into a smile tempted to run and find Silena. But i didn't, i was going to keep this to myself. All of a sudden the conch shell horn blew signaling dinner. Oops, i hadn't realized I'd been down at the beach for over an hour. I got up and headed to the tables in a much much better mood.

Percy's P.O.V "Someones in a better mood" i said as Aegea sat down at the table. She stuck her tongue out at me. "Shut up Percy" she said and i did. Earlier she got mad a caused a small earthquake. I talked to Chiron who said it was probably another one of our powers. After all one of Poseidon's nicknames is Earthshaker. Tomorrow i was determined to try it out myself. That is, without being pissed off first. Everyone had talked about the earthquake incident and apparently still were. As i walked to the fire i heard kids at the Hermes table talking about it. Aegea didn't seem to notice, or if she did, she ignored it. Her mind seemed to be in another place. "Earth to Aegea!" i said waving my hand in front of her face. She blinked twice and looked at me. "Yes?" she said "Well about the earthquake, how did you do that?" i asked "Er, well I'm not sure. I just got really mad and all of a sudden people were trying to catch their balance." she said. She was as confused as i was. "So if it feeds off anger then it might not be the best weapon all the time" "No probably not. Unless we figure out some other way to trigger one" "Yeah, well we don't have to worry about it right now. We still have a month to figure it out" i said "Yeah, a month" she said turning her gaze to her plate. Had i said something wrong? "Are you okay?" i asked "Fine." Okay maybe i said something wrong. Hopefully she'd be better tomorrow.

Aegea's P.O.V I went to bed feeling anxious. This would be a long night. I was in the streets of Ancient Greece. A girl my age with long brown hair in a messy braid running down her back and green eyes was running through the streets, away from something. Her white chiton was ragged and torn and started murmuring something in ancient Greek that translated to something like Rise, Serve and Save me oh child of the Sea. The necklace she was wearing started to glow softly. The scene changed. I was in Victorian England and once again there was a girl in front of me. She running along the Thames. She looked like the other girl, the brown hair and green eyes. Her corset was not tied tightly and loosely hung on her. She was holding up her ripped skirt and her hair was falling out of its once neat bun. This time i saw what was chasing her, a minotaur. She started saying the same thing the other girl had and once again the necklace she was wearing started to glow softly. The scene changed again. I was in WW2 Germany. A girl who looked like me was flying down the streets of Berlin. Her blond hair with a streak of brown flew behind her in her loose pigtails. Her jacket was open showing a white shirt with blood stains on it. The stockings under her plaid skirt were ripped. A German officer yelled at her and started chasing her along with the large hellhound. She started saying what the other two girls had and the necklace started to glow. I finally got a good look at the necklace. It was a single sea green bead on a brown string. I gasped, it was my necklace! Nothing had changed in the scene. Then the hellhound lunged as the officer fired a shot. The shot hit the girl in the shoulder and the hellhound caused three large scratches to appear on her back. However all she didn't utter a word. Her form flickered and then dissipated into golden dust on the ground. I covered my mouth as not to scream. Had i just seen this girl die? Then i saw a head peek out of an alley way. It was the same girl! She was breathing heavily but alive. I stared at her shocked. The necklace was still on her neck but it seemed duller somehow, as if it had lost its shine. What in Hades just happened? I woke nearly jumping out of bed. I looked around, the saltwater fountain shown dully in the corner and Percy lay in his sleep mumbling something about Annabeth. I laughed, gods know what he was dreaming about. Thunder rumbled. Okay the gods don't know and its probably a good thing. I looked at my side table where my sword/ring next to the necklace. That necklace had a long history and it had something to do with my dream. I made up my mind, tomorrow i would Iris-Message my dad. My dad Poseidon who I've never talked to in my life. Tomorrow should be interesting. Percy's P.O.V "Oh Percy!" Silena'ssingsong voice said. Oh gods. Usually when she searched me out it meant something humiliating or worse. "Come on. We're gunnahave a game of truth or dare" she said grabbing my arm. See what i mean? No choice, just we're going to do this. Dammit. I entered the Aphrodite cabin and once the pinkness wore off took a look around. A bunch of kids were there. The Stolltwins, Berkendorf, Nico, Jake, Chris, Grover, Juniper, Clarisse, Aegea, Thalia, Silenaof course and me. Then Annabeth walked in. Oh gods, this wouldn't be good. "Good everyone is here" Silena said happily. A few people rolled their eyes. "Aegea do you wanna start?" "Sure," she turned to me "Percy, Truth or Dare?" "Truth" "What were you dreaming about last night that involved Annabeth'sname?" she asked sweetly. Evil, evil sister. "Uh... kissing her?" i whispered softly. "What was that?" Nico asked. This is messed up. "Kissing her." i said a little louder. I heard snickers in the direction of the Stollbrothers direction. "Travis, truth or dare?" i said peeved. "Dare" he said. Perfect. "Come here." i said. He came over and i whispered it in his ear. He paled "Do i have to?" He asked almost scared. "Yes, vámonos" He walked up to Thalia, leaned down and kissed her. She looked shocked and once he had already pulled away it was replaced by anger "Why you little-" she said furiously "Relax Thalia. Deep breaths" i said laughing. Poor Travis looked as if he was gunna wet himself. Thalia glared at me but stopped. "Juniper, truth or dare?" "Hmm, truth" "How long have you and Grover been going out?" Thalia asked. She had let Juniper off easy. "Umm, 1 year, 5 months, 2 weeks and a day" she stated. Even Thalia looked impressed. "Not bad" "Thanks" Juniper said smiling. "Aegea, truth or dare?" "Truth" she said automatically "Have you ever kissed anyone?" Juniper asked. Aegea and Jake burst out laughing. What in Hades was so funny? "Yup" Aegea managed to get out between giggles. "OMGS WHO?!" Silena exclaimed from across the room. Aegea clucked her tongue "Sorry Silena, already answered my one question" She said her laughing now coming to a halt. I wish she had said, perfect blackmail material. It was Aegea'sturn again "Annabeth truth or dare?" "Dare" "Oh good!" Aegea said happily. Oh styx. " She glanced around "I dare you to kiss Nico." "WHAT?!" They both yelled. "Fine then," Aegea said "Kiss Percy" Me and Annabeth paled. "Do i have to?" she asked meekly "Choose one or the other" Aegea said obviously pround of herself. Annabeth sighed and walked up to me. She leaned in and kissed me. This was nothing like at Mt. St. Helens, it was much better. She put her arms around my neck deepening the kiss and i put my arms around her waist. All of a sudden we heard Grover clearing his throat. "You guys need a minute alone?" Jake asked smirking saying the same line Nico had when i first got here. Me and Annabeth flew apart beet red. "Uh, Berkendorf" Annabeth said quickly "Truth or dare?" "Dare..." "Kiss Silena" Annabeth said quickly happy to have the attention off her. Silena squealed and all but attacked Berkendorf. But it would be a lie to say he was disappointed. All of a sudden the door opened and Chiron was there. "Am i interrupting something?" He asked awkwardly. "Nope" Silena said with a grin. "Er, well in that case could i see Percy and Aegea?" "Sure Chiron" We said simultaneously getting up and following Chiron out of the cabin. "Well your mother sent an Iris-Message asking to talk to you two." he said. Aegea's hand clenched into a fist but followed me and Chironinto the big house. I saw the Iris message and went to it. "Hey mom!" i said "PERCY! Where have you been? You were supposed to Iris-Message me 3 weeks after you got here!" she yelled. I remembered something about her saying that, oops. Then she caught sight of Aegea standing behind me "Aegea.." she said tears welling up in her eyes. "Mother." "Oh look at how big you've gotten!" she exclaimed. Aegea's eyes were cold as ice. "Yes, i've gotten much bigger than since i was 1" "Aegea i am so sorry! It was the only way both of you would survive" she said shamefully "Oh yes. Throw one child in an orphanage not bothering to contact them and keep the other spoiling them rotten" she said. My jaw dropped, is that really what she thought of me? "I'm sorry sweetie. Your father said the necklace would keep you safe and it did" "So what? That's supposed to make it all better? Miss Caroline was more of a mother to me than you are! And speaking of my father i shall have a word with him!" she said and stormed off. A tear slid down my mom's face. "Mom it's okay she's just mad. She doesn't mean it" i said trying to comfort her. Why did Aegea have to be so mean? "No she has a right to be mad. I never contacted her but i did keep track of her. Every year Caroline would send me a picture or video. That was how i watched her grow up." she said remorsefully "Aww mom it's ok. So has anything interesting happened while i was gone?" i asked changing the subject "Yes! Honey Paul proposed to me!" she said smiling. Good for Paul. "That's great! When's the wedding?" i asked. Her face dropped. "Its going to be in October-" "And we'll be there" i finished even though there was a chance we wouldn't. She smiled weakly "Yes honey i know you will. And please tell Aegea she can come live at home after camp." "I will" "I have to go. Tell Annabeth i say hi!" she said. She loved Annabeth. "I will, bye mom" i said waving my hand through the connection. Chiron spoke "I'd advise that you go speak to your sister. If she is upset at her parents Kronos will have a bribe and that would be very bad." he said his face full of worry. "Yeah, see ya later Chiron" I headed to the Poseidon cabin. When i opened the door i saw Aegea kneeling next to the saltwater fountain talking to none other than our dad. Apparently she had been serious about that. "So it will really do that?" she asked "Do what?" i said startling her. "I have to go" she said waving her hand through the mist. "It's none of your business" she growled at me. I took the hint. "Listen i know you're pissed at mom. But she really is sorry and it upset her when you stormed off. Listen after camp ends for the summer she wants you to come live with us and attend her wedding." "Wedding?" "Oh yeah, Paul Blofis, that guy i was telling you about? Well he proposed to her and the weddings in October" i said "So will you come?" i asked "I'll think about it." "Fair enough"

Jake's P.O.V I swung my sword around slashing at the air & pretending it was Luke or possibly Jonathan (i just hate the kid, that's all) "Jakkkeee" Nico said loudly "You're going to break something"he said. i put my sword down. I was in the cabin and knowing me Nico's assumption was probably right. "So you have any ideas?" i asked. We had been plotting ways to defeat Kronos, so far with no avail. "No, unless we cut him with his scythe the only other option i see is too send him straight to Tartarus. Like open a giant hole and he would just fall into it" Nico said. I turned to face him "You know, that may not be a bad idea" "Really?" he said "I mean yeah i know" i rolled my eyes "Think about it! We wouldn't even have to fight!" "Jake think about it. That would be beyond hard! Not to mention his enormous power would keep us from opening it directly under him!" "Who said anything about putting the hole under him?" Aegea's P.O.V I looked down at my necklace playing with it. This was officially the singular coolest necklace in the world! And it may help save my life this summer. I leaned over in my bed and checked the calendar. 2 weeks 'til my birthday. I shuddered, time to train. Instead of heading to the arena i went to the archery targets, i was too tired from before to do any more sword training right now. When i got there Jonathan was shooting bulls eyes over and over again very fast. "Hey Jonathan" i said "Oh hi Aegea" he said not even turning to look at me. He shot another bulls-eye "There, a perfect 50" "Gods Jonathan! That's a tonof bulls-eyes!" i said shocked. I couldn't even make 1. "Want some help?" he asked after my feeble attempt. "Uh, sure?" i said uncertainly. He came over and put his arms around me. Oh gods here we go again. Why did i say yes? "So you hold it like this" Jonathan said. I droned him out, i wondered what Jake was doing right now. Speak of the devil and the devil shall appear. I saw Jake out of the corner of my eye heading over. I would of ran to him if Jonathan hadn't had his arms around me. Jake stopped and started talking to someone. No! Come here and get me out of here! "So i haven't seen you for awhile, how was your 4th with Jake?" he asked smiling coyly. "Fine why?" "Just wondering. I didn't see you that night." "Oh well yeah fine." i said. Then he let the arrow go. Bulls-eye! "You hit it!" he said. Then he leaned down and kissed me! What the- ? i pulled away "What was that for?" i asked. "Yeah what was that for?" Jake asked. I hadn't realized he was there. "Oh i was just happy for her!" Jonathan said. I backed away. The nerve of the kid! Jake was glaring at him. "Don't you EVER touch her again! You understand? Capice?" Jake said. Gods he was mad. "What's the matter corpse breath? Afraid she may like me and not like you?" he said with a smirk. Um ew. "Shut up pretty boy. I said stay away from her! You hear?" Jake growled "Oh i hear ya alright. Listening to ya is another thing" he said. Bad move. Jake whipped out his sword and pointed it at Jonathan's chest. It was the first time i'd really seen it. It was about 3 feet long and black as night. I shuddered, i wouldn't want that thing pointed at me. Jonathan raised his loaded bow and pointed it at Jake. Oh my gods! "Guys!" i yelled "Relax!" Warily they lowered their weapons. "Come on Aegea" Jake said keeping his eyes on Jonathan "Lets go to the arena" "Uh okay, see you later Jonathan." He nodded but his eyes were cold as ice and angry. I shrugged and followed Jake to the sword arena. I twisted my ring and out pooped my sword. It's nice never having to worry about losing it. I was up against some girl from Demeter (i really have to start learning everyones name) and was winning. Then two vines popped out of the ground and grabbed my feet. "That's not fair!" i said. She shrugged. Fine, if she's not going to play by the rules niether am i. i concentrated on the ocean. I felt a tug in my gut then... *Splash!* Water shot up at her face and the grip on my feet loosened. "That's it! You are done!" She said. I smiled "Bring it"

Percy's P.O.V I entered the arena to find my sister and Beth, a girl from Demeter having a full blown battle. Water was flying and plants were growing everywhere. What had happened to swords?A vine shot up at Aegea and hooked on to her arm. This was one of the more powerful Demeter girls wasn't it. Another vine grabbed her ankle and Aegea was beyond furious. Uh oh. The ground started trembling where they were standing. Not hard but it defiantly was. Then it shook harder to the point where the Demeter girl was struggling to keep her balance. Then finally she fell and the plants grip on Aegea loosened Soon as it did the shaking stopped. They both glared at each other. I sat down on the bench ready for the next round, this was getting too good. A huge wave came up drenching everyone but me within 10 feet of Aegea. The Demeter girl sent vines grabbing Aegea's ankles and her arm holding the sword. Here it comesi thought. The ground started shaking harshly but all of a sudden stopped. The vines holding Aegea retreated. I turned around to see Chiron frowning "I know you're practicing but this is a sword fighting practice only. Only swords may be used" Chiron said "Sorry Chiron" they said with their heads down "Very well carry on" he said. They both turned and left the arena. Okayy then. "Hey Seaweed Brian!" I turned around to see Annabeth holding up her dagger "Fight?" she asked "Sure." This should be easy. She lunges nearly hitting me. Or not. Back and forth, parry, dodge, strike. It's like a dance because we know each others moves so well and no ones winning. Someone shouts my name and i turn to look. Bad idea, Annabeth took the opportunity and lunged placing her dagger at my chest. I look around again to see Thalia waving. I look from Annabeth to Thalia and back. "What?! No fair guys!" "Who said anything about fair?" Thalia yelled down. I rolled my eyes and looked down. "Whatever I'm going to bed." "It's only 9:00!" Annabeth said "Your point?" "Come to the beach with me?" she asked. A smile crept up my face. "Fine. Only if you insist"

Nico's P.O.V "So is it even possible?" i asked "Yes.." my father said cautiously "But it would require an immense amount of strength and even though there are two of you i don't know if you could pull it off." he said "What if we had help?" "How could you? No one else is my child" "No, what if we open it up and we get Percy, Thalia and the new girl Aegea to help" "I don't know. It may work-" "Please insert one dhamaca (spelling?) for 5 more minutes" the voice said. I looked around. Of course i didn't have anymore, oh well i have the info i need. Now just to put into action. "Jake! Get your lazy ass ove here!" i shouted across the cabin "Gods Nico no need to shout. What do you want?" "You know that completely inane idea you had?" "Yes..." "Well it may not be as crazy as it sounds" "Really? What do you mean?" he asked "Well the hole is possible, it would require immense amount of strength though. We would need the others help to knock him into it. The only problem after that is he would still be whole" "Why can't the gods just chop him up again after we send him under?" "Some stupid rule about no direct interference. Which makes no sense because it's their war we're fighting i said exasperated at that stupid rule "Well tomorrow we can ask the others." "What its only 9:30 Jake!" "So? I'm tired. G'night Nico" he said hopping on his bed and rolling over. Minutes later he was fast asleep. That guy could sleep through anything! i sighed and sat down on the edge of my bed. It was looking like Jake's completely insane and possibly suicidal idea is the only chance we have. Percy's P.O.V I snuck up behind Annabeth quietly as i could. Surprisingly she didn't hear me. I reached down pulling her into a hug and covering her eyes. "Hi, wise girl." i whispered. She grabbed my hand and pulled it off her face. Then she looked up at me with her beautiful grey eyes. "You're about as stealthy as an elephant" she said. I laughed, so i guess she had heard me. "Well I'm not Hermes son. Give me a break." i said jokingly. She smiled and patted the ground next to her. I sat down. "So, what's up?" "Just thinking." "About?" "Stuff. Today, tomorrow, the war, the gods, Kronos, Luke..." i winced at his name "... and you." she finished "Me?" "Yeah. How you are going to decide whether to save the world or not. And how you are the biggest, stupidest, stubbornest kelp head i know who's almost killed themselves multiple times. And how... how there's a very good probability that i might, just possibly, probably, am falling in love with you." she finished with a whisper. I was completely shocked. Then it sunk in. Annabeth Chase, the most beautiful girl in existence said she loved me. I tilted her head up to look at me. "Well that's good. 'Cause i love you too Annabeth Chase" We both leaned in and our lips met. She reached her arms up around my neck and i put mine around her pulling her closer much like the other day. Only this time it was just us, no one was watching and she loved me! Thunder rumbled overhead loudly overhead but we ignored it. Nothing else mattered right now. Not the war or the gods or the prophecy, nothing. Finally we pulled away as we needed to breathe. I smiled "Someone isn't happy" i said. She leaned her head against me and looked up at me. "Why? I'm very happy" she said. I shook my head and pointed toward the sky. "Oh they'll live" she said rolling her eyes. I laughed "They will, i however may not. Then it will all be up to Aegea to decide the world's fate." "Percy my mom isn't gunna kill you and that reminds me. We should probably go. It's close to curfew and i don't feel like being eaten by harpies" she said joking. Why did i have to open my big mouth? I sighed and helped her to her feet. We walked back together not really talking. We arrived at her cabin "See you in the morning wise girl." "See ya Seaweed Brain" she said. She gave me one last kiss and walked in to her cabin. I probably would of stood there forever but reluctantly i headed back to my cabin. Quietly as i could i opened the door set Riptide down on the table and changed out of my clothes. Aegea was fast asleep in her bed. But her brow was furrowed as if she was concentrating real hard or scared. Then she started to toss and turn and thrash around. She started mumbling something but i couldn't hear what she was saying. "NO!" she screamed. I thought i had woken her up but she still was fast asleep. She was shaking so bad i thought she may have started another earthquake. Then she was completely quiet. No shaking, no talking or tossing and turning. I went over and sat on the edge of her bed. Tears were streaming down her face. I reached out and stroked her hair "Shh. It's okay Aegea, everythings okay" i said. Eventually the tears stopped and her breathing was steady. I got up and went and jumped onto my bed. I lay awake for the next hour trying to figure out what in Hades she had seen. The next morning i woke up to the sun glaring through my window. I squinted looking over to Aegea's bed that was empty and made. I got up threw on a pair of jeans and my camp half-blood T-shirt. I grabbed Riptide and headed out the door. It was still very early. I spotted someone standing on Half- Blood Hill next to Thalia's Pine. I ran up the hill, Riptide out, just in case. When i got there i saw it was only Aegea. I capped Riptide and walked over to her. She didn't turn around to look at me and her face was sad. What had happened to the easily angered, spitfire, competitive girl that was here yesterday? "Aegea?" i asked. She whipped around engulfing me in a hug. "I'm sorry Percy. I'm sorry!" she said. She was a mess. Her hair was falling out of her ponytail, her eyes were red and puffy and tears stained her cheeks. She looked as if she had been crying for a long time. "Why are you sorry?" i asked very confused. Yesterday she was happy, if maybe a bit angry but today she was so sad. It had to be her dream! But what happened? Instead of answering me she let go and started down the hill. "See you later Percy" she said. What in Hades was wrong with this girl? I needed to talk to Annabeth and have her help me figure this out. I smiled, now i had an excuse to go see her.

Aegea's P.O.V After seeing Percy i headed to the cabin to wash up before breakfast. I couldn't stop thinking about my dreams, my two terrifying dreams. One was a prophecy type thingy. I forget what it was called. In 8 short days the sun will rise, When one side shall meet their demise. The traitor's body will be done, Before Water, Sky and Earth combine as one . Trickery will save the day, But not before many pay. The battle will continue to rage though, Until the Chosen One's final blow. This terrified me. 8 short days- that's when our birthday is. One shall meet their demise- someone has to lose the war. The traitor's body will be done- that has to be Luke's body. Water, Sky and Earth combine as one- the kids of the big 3 will have to work together. Trickery will save the day- I'm not positive but it could be referring to my necklace. But not before many pay- People are going to die. The battle will continue to rage- It's going to keep going, possibly even after Kronos is defeated (if he is.). Until the Chosen One's final blow- Before i got here it was up to Percy, he was and probably still is the Chosen One. And final blow? I pray to gods I'm not right but that usually means someone will die. The poem kept replaying in my head like a broken record or a CD stuck on repeat. I should tell Chiron but I'm scared. I sat down at my table and looked around. No one else was here yet. Someone spoke behind me. "Aegea Jackson. What are you doing here so early?" Mr. D asked. Oh my gods he actually got my name right. "Um no reason sir. Just woke up early i guess" "I see." he said and walked away to yell at some of the nymphs. Poor nymphs. People started filing in. Hermes, Dionysus, Demeter, Ares, Athena, Hades. Jake and Nico sat down at they're table chatting away happily. I looked at Nico and bit my lip determined not to cry. My other dream came rushing back like a flood. I was on the battle field. Everywhere around me their was fighting. Percy and Thalia were fighting off some giant monster that i couldn't identify. Jake was fighting two dracane and i assumed Annabeth was fighting the emposa that was swinging around wildly looking for her opponent. That left Nico who was fighting off another unidentified monster. what he didn't see was an enemy half- blood sneaking up behind him. I started running towards him screaming his name but he didn't hear me. The half-blood raised his sword, i was still 50 feet away. The ground seemed to be slipping out from under me. The the enemy thrust down stabbing Nico in the back. "NO!" i shouted. Nico went rigid, stunned and then fell face first into the dirt. The dracane simply stepped around him and continued on it's way. I ran up to Nico. He was still breathing but barely. "Nico!Nico! can you hear me?" i asked lifting him up. Blood rushed from where he had been stabbed. He looked up at me gave one last breath and shut his eyes. Nico had died, he had died in my arms. I shook my head. No it wouldn't happen. I refused to let it. Part of my mind said it was inevitable. The fates are always right. The other part said they wouldn't be right this time. I liked that side better. An involuntarily a tear slid down my face. Percy looked at me confused but didn't say anything. I glanced around and sighed. After breakfast i would go tell Chiron the prophecy but not the other dream. I wasn't going to tell anyone that 'cause it wasn't going to happen. Aegea's P.O.V After telling Chiron the prophecy (and only the prophecy) i headed to the beach. Chiron had been worried and agreed with my deciphering of it. I walked over the dunes and found Nico, Jake , Percy and Annabeth already there. "Hi Aegea! We're just waiting for Thalia." Jake said brightly. I looked over to the dunes i had just come over and spotted Thalia climbing over them "There she is!" Nico shouted. "No need to shout Nico" Jake complained. Nico shrugged "Hi guys!" Thalia said "Okay good everyone is here. Now w can start on Jake's possibly suicidal plan" Nico said. Jake rolled his eyes. I could only imagine how these two put up with each other. Nico and Jake described the plan. Basically it involved them making a giant hole in the ground, me and Percy making a large wave and Thalia electrifying that wave. The wave would then come crashing down on Kronos consequently knocking him into the hole and sending him to Tartarus. You know, the usual battle plan. "What am i supposed to do?" Annabeth asked annoyed at not being part of the plan. "Well, nothing really. But since you're the daughter of Athena in all we thought it would be a good idea to check with you" Nico said "Well then, it might work but as Nico said earlier it could be suicidal" She said warily. "Okay then. Crazy sucicidal plan it is!" i said "All in favor say I." "I" "I" "I" "I" Thalia , Percy, Jake and Nico said. "Okay, i obviously have already agreed so we're good. Who's going to go tell Chiron and Mr. D? We can't have anyone fighting or near the titans while we do this so they're going to have to tell everyone to back off" i said. "I'll go!" Nico said running off. "Me too!" Percy said. "I better go keep an eye and make sure they get it right" Annabeth said smiling. I laughed and looked around for Thalia. But she was no where to be seen. It was just me and Jake. Then it hit me. I was so going to kill those two! "So, i better get going." Jake said. I stood up, "Yeah me to. So uh see you later." i said awkwardly. I went to find where Annabeth and Thalia were but i got distracted. Out of the corner of my eye i saw where people and nymphs were racing. My dream came rushing back, how i was too late because i wasn't fast enough. That was going to change. I headed over to the track "Hey Aegea! Wanna race?" A tree nymph named Maple asked. "Sure, ready, set," "GO!" she shouted. I took off like a shot and pulled ahead quickly. Then i was aware there was someone else besides Maple running next to me. I looked over and saw a pretty woman in a long silvery dress with her hair flying behind her back "Lady Aphrodite?" i asked. I had a bad feeling about this. The first god/goddess i meet in person happens to be the goddess of love. Great. "Hi sweetie! Do you think we could slow down? These heels aren't made for running." she said. I looked down at her feet to see 5 inch heels that kept getting in the ground. I looked ahead to where Maple had already crossed the finish line. I sighed "Sure." i said slowing to a halt. Aphrodite stopped, straightened her dress and fixed her hair. "Okay good. So hows your life?" she asked "Um okay i guess? Except for the huge battle that's in a week" i said very confused. What did she want? "No honey your love life. Real lives are just so blah." she said. Okay then. "Umm. Okay? I guess?" "No! It is not okay! Have you told Jake you like him?" she asked "No, how did you know that?" i asked. i regretted the question as soon as i said it. Of course she knew. "Why I'm the goddess of love of course! It's my job to know these things!" "Right. So no i haven't told him. Why do you ask?" "Well, as you said there is an approaching war. And what if one of you dies and you never told him? You would regret that. That's why you must tell him? Okay?" she said with a smile. She must be the most upbeat person I've met. "Yeah..." "So you're going to tell him!" she said "I will. I promise" i said. This was very very weird. She tsked "Uh uh! You must promise me on the River Styx." "Um, i promise on the River Styx I'll tell Jake i like him?" "Good enough. See you later darling" she said. I shielded my eyes as she showed her truly divine form. Okay that was interesting. "Aegea?" Maple asked. "Uh yeah?" i said still weirded out by Aphrodite's visit. "Wanna race again?" she said cheerfully "Sure!" i said. I would win this time. No distraction from anyone. I would win this race and the next ones and i would be fast enough to save Nico from his fate.

Jake's P.O.V I was going to absolutely positively kill Nico. And maybe Percy while I'm at it. "Nico!" i yelled across the arena "Could you come here." he gulped and came over. "Yeah?" he said with an innocent expression on his face. "So did you tell her?" "NO! For Zeus sakes why did you do that!" Thunder rumbled. Whatever. "Well one reason is to have you tell her and the other was it was kinda funny" he said. Then Percy came over looking like he'd seen a ghost. "Your lucky" i whispered to Nico. He grinned. "Percy you look like you just saw a ghost" i said "Worse. A goddess" he said "Who?" "Aphrodite." he said. We laughed. Percy told us of his previous run- ins with the love goddess. "What did she want? I thought you already told Annabeth you liked her?" i asked "I did. It would seem though that i really really pissed off Athena. Aphrodite wanted to remind me it was 'cause of her that i hadn't been turned to ashes" he said shuddering. We laughed, Athena probably wasn't too fond of Percy's love for Annabeth. Or the other way around for that matter. "Aw come on man. Relax yourself. You're not dead yet" Nico said. Percy glared at him. "Speaking of dead Nico.." i said. "Aw come on! I was just trying to help!" he pleaded. I sighed "Fine you're off the hook, for now" i said. "YES!" he jumped up and ran. I don't think he wanted to hang around in case i changed my mind "I'm not going to interfere but you should tell her. I mean i did" Percy said "I thought she told you first?" "She did. But that is completely beside the point" he said. I laughed. I would think about it. Maybe Aegea's P.O.V I woke up to the horrible dream again. I looked at the clock, 5 a.m. Oh well might as well get up. I sat down on the couch with a blanket and picked up a book written in ancient Greek that Annabeth had given me. I opened up to a random page and started to read. He put up a valient fight but his efforts were wasted. An enemy arrow peirced his heart and he fell. Okay then. Forget reading. I didn't need anymore reminders about war. Today is August 16th, tomorrow is the 17th, our birthday. A shiver went down my spine even though it was warm in the cabin. i looked at the clock again, 5:03 a.m. Only 3 minutes had gone by. I couldn't go back to bed without having the nightmares. I sighed and threw headed outside in my sweatpants and tank-top. I walked down to the beach where i could still make out the waves slightly in the darkness of the morning. i waded out into the water until i was waist deep. I played with the water making a little show with it. Then i started practicing for tomorrow. I made a huge wave that kept getting bigger, 8,9,10 feet tall. Just as it reached 15 feet a voice from the shore startled me causing the wave to come crashing down. "Hi Aege-" Nico said before the wave crashed down on top of him. "Oops! Sorry there Nico!" i said making the wave recede quickly and drying off everything. "Uh huh." he said trying to get the water out of his ears. "What are you doing up so early?" i asked. "Well first its already 6:00 and second i kept having bad dreams" he said. 6:00? i hadn't realized i'd been at the beach that long. "What were the dreams about?" i asked. He shuddered "The war." i bit my lip. I've been having dreams about the war too, about him dying in it. "It could be nothing. Dreams aren't always true" i said hastily "I guess..." he said We stared out at the sunrise in silence. There was so much to think about and so little time. Normally i liked my birthday but for once i wish it would never come. Nico broke the silence "So have you been talking to my brother recently?" he asked. I rolled my eyes. I didn't feel like talking about Jake right now. I sent a wave of water crashing down on him- again. "Aw come on Aegea what was that for?" he said spitting the salty water out of his mouth. I hadn't let him dry yet. "No reason" i said with a smirk "Just 'cause" i said. I continued to play with the water making in splash and ripple, making the waves come forward and recede. Then someone tapped on my shoulder. i turned around to see a skeletal warrior grinning at me "AH! NICO!" i screamed. He laughed but the ground swallowed the warrior up. "What was that for?" i demanded "Just 'cause" he said with a laugh. i groaned. "Aegeaaa! Nicoo!" Percy yelled. "We better get going." i said "Probably" he said. We ran up the slope of the dune. "Hi" pant "Percy" pant "What's" pant "up?" pant. i asked "Come on breakfast is early today remember?" Oh right. We were having breakfast early so we'd have more time to train for , gulp, tomorrow. "I better go get sleepy- head up" Nico said exasperated. "See you guys later." Me and Percy headed toward the tables. The food tasted blah and Chiron was telling everyone of the 'crazy suicidal plan' for tomorrow. I was hardly listening thinking about what Nico had said about having a dream. Was it the same one i had? Did he dream about his own death? Did he think it would be my fault? "Sea Girl?" Jake said waving his hand in front of my face snapping me out of my trance. I looked around to see that everyone else had left the dining area. "Come on Aegea, time to train" he said trailing off. It didn't take a genius the next words would be 'for the last time'. I sighed "Let's go" We reached the training arena to find Percy decapitating dummies "You know other people may want to practice on those too" i said jokingly. He scowled at me. "Aw come on Percy i was just kidding!" "Nice outfit" he said. I blushed realizing i was wearing what i wore to bed, my long grey sweats and white tank top. "Thanks" "Hey Seaweed Brain!" Annabeth said running up to him and giving him a kiss. I raised my eyebrows at them "When did this happen?" i asked. They both blushed "Uhm.. welll-" "GUYS! CHIRON WANTS TO SEE YOU!" Thalia yelled across the lawn. Saved by the bell.

• half and hour later*

"So we're all set?" Chiron asked. "Yes" we all said "Okay well why don't you all go train, Nico and Jake, Aegea and Percy and Annabeth and Thalia" he said nodding at Thalia with a smile. Me and Percy headed to, where else? The beach. Our main goal was to create the largest wave possible. Our best so far was around 35 feet. We needed bigger. Finally we both sat down exhausted. We'd been practicing for hours on end. I wasn't even sure what time it was. We'd gotten a 50 foot wave at our best. "Come on Percy, I've been up since 5 a.m. let's head back to the cabin" i said for the 5th time "Fine" he said grudgingly. As we got closer to the cabin i thought i heard noise coming from it. Tyson probably. I opened the door and heard "Surprise!" me and Percy froze. Thalia, Annabeth, Jake, Nico, Grover, Juniper and Tyson were standing in our cabin which was decorated for a birthday party. Me and Percy had been trying to ignore the fact it was our birthday tomorrow but that didn't seem to sit to well with the others. "Well don't just stand there!" Thalia said. I sat down on my bed and Percy on his. "I know you guys were trying to avoid it but it's still your birthday so suck it up and deal." Annabeth said with a smile. "Uh okay?" i said. Everyone laughed. Glad they were getting their entertainment at my sake. "Happy Birthday Aegea!" Annabeth and Thalia said holding out a small box "Guys..." i started "Shut up and open it" Thalia said. I sighed, there was no getting out of this. I opened the box to find an Ipod sitting there. Omgs. "Ta da! Now you'll have something to keep you occupied when your stuck with Seaweed Brain" Ananbeth said. i laughed "And we already put a bunch of songs on there so you don't have to" Thalia piped in. I couldn't believe it. I never had anything this nice at the orphanage. I enveloped them in hug. "Thank you so much!" The rest of the evening went me and Percy opening our presents, cake and then Chiron knocking on the door telling us all to go to bed. Everyone said their good byes and headed to their respective places. I looked at the things i had gotten, the Ipod from Annabeth and Thalia, a beautiful anklet from Jake and Nico; it was a thin silver chain with a small charm of a shell on it. Tyson had made me a shield much like Percy's old one except it was bracelet rather than a watch. I looked out the window of our cabin and looked around camp. Everything was so quiet right now. Finally i couldn't stay awake any longer, i layed down in bed falling asleep soon as my head hit the pillow. Aegea's P.O.V The horn sounded and i launched myself out of bed. Unfortunately so did Percy and we banged into each other. Ow. I got dressed quickly. I grabbed my ring, necklace and bracelet and put them on making sure they were secure (i have a lot of important jewelry). Then i put on my armor except for my helmet. I waited for Percy then we headed to meet everyone at the dining pavilion. Camp was alive with activity. Hephaestus's kids readied large catapults and Greek fire along with many other things. Apollo's kids were checking bows and setting traps and some were checking medical supplies. Up on the hill Thalia's tree was being surrounded by tightly interwoven plants (Thanks to Demeter's kids) to protect it. Ares kids were prepping weapons. Athena's kids were discussing strategy. Hermes's kids were going around helping with whatever needed help with. Even Aphrodite's kids were going around and helping people straighten out armor etc. "This is just like the battle of the Labyrinth increased 10 fold" Percy said. "You mean everything is the same except it's going to be 10 times worse?" i asked "Yeah, pretty much" he said. I gulped. I had heard stories about last years battle. If this was going to be 10 times worse it was going to be very very bad. "Percy! Aegea! Over here!" Annabeth yelled. We headed over to where she was talking with Thalia and Chiron. "Where's Jake and Nico?" she asked. "I dunno" Percy said. Soon as he said it they came running. "We're here!" Nico said out of breath. "Good. Now listen up. I want you 5 to stay together at all times today! Kronos will use you if your separated." Chiron said seriously. "What about me?" Annabeth asked "You can stay with them if you want but you aren't required too" he said. She smiled. It was good enough for her. We headed up to Half- Blood Hill and took our places. We were standing up front, swords out and shields ready. Thalia had her shield Aegis out and thank gods she was up front 'cause that thing was scary. She also had her long electric spear that was buzzing with energy. Me and Percy both had our swords out and our shields as well. Nico and Jake had their long midnight black swords out but no shields. Annabeth was standing with us too holding her dagger and Yankee's cap. Archers were posted on high points such as towers (made out of branches thanks to Demeter's cabin.) The Ares kids were quickly lining everyone else up. They had the older kids in the front and the younger ones in the back (thankfully). Then they themselves took their places. It wasn't long before we heard the thud of footsteps echo through the valley. Then we saw Kronos's army in the horizon. "Archers ready! Lock shields" Clarisse shouted. I shuddered. This was actually happening. Then i got a good look at the army. There were half-bloods, dracaenae, laistrygions, hellhounds, skeletons, telekhines, a few empousai and so many more that i couldn't even tell you what they were. The only person missing was Kronos. And that in itself was scary enough. Then there was the fact that there were over 200 monsters/people in their army. We were pathetically out numbered. The army continued marching and then stopped about 200 yards away. For a few frightening minutes no one moved on either side. Then our archers sent a volley of arrows flying. Most of them hit but there were a good many that didn't. After those arrows flew all Hades broke loose. Both sides charged. Us 5 stayed together as was instructed and Annabeth (now invisible) did too. 3 dracaenae came toward us and we ganged up on them. Then the monsters kept coming. Dust was everywhere as was the blood of half- bloods. An hour must have passed and there was still no sign of Kronos. "Guys we have to split up if we're going to fight better" Nico said "Nico, Chiron told us to stay together" Thalia said "There's less a chance of us all being killed if we split up" Nico said. Thalia sighed "As much as i hate to admit it you're right" she said. Annabeth took off her cap. "If we split up at least in pairs." she pleaded. "Fine, Jake and Nico, me and Aegea and you and Percy" Thalia said taking charge. She instructed everyone on where to go and we split up. Me and Thalia headed towards two enemy half- bloods. One was about a year older and the other a year younger than me. I bit my lip as i engaged the younger the younger one. I was going to try and kill him. He struck at me but i deflected the blow with my shield. His strike had left him open. I took the chance and stabbed him. He looked at me and our eyes met, his eyes asking for mercy. I bit my lip harder tears pooling in my eyes. I've killed monsters before but this was different. Monsters turn to dust and eventually come back. He wouldn't, he was dead. Gone forever. Next to me Thalia had defeated her opponent who fell to the ground as well. "Come on" Thalia said. I looked at the two boys one last time and followed Thalia. The hot midday sun made the armor sweaty and uncomfortable. The battle had been raging for 3 hours and there was still no sign of Kronos. Our splitting up plan had worked so far. Me and Thalia hadn't met up with the other pairs but we had stuck together. We were a little beat up but still breathing. As i was running at a dracaenae i saw Nico out of the corner of my eye. He was by himself and fighting a dracaenae. Then it hit me. It was happening. Without warning a ran off towards Nico but Thalia didn't seem to notice. I was running faster than i ever had. About 10 feet away the enemy half- blood was sneaking up behind Nico. i was only 5 feet away. The half-blood raised his sword. "Nico!" i screamed. I took a leap and landed on my feet behind Nico with my shield up. The half- bloods sword clanged against the metal of my shield and his face was surprised. This time i had no regrets about what i was about to do. With one swift motion i stabbed him in the chest and he crumpled to the ground. Nico whirled around "Oh my gods." he said looking at the half- blood. "It was right" now i was confused "What was right?" i asked "My dream. I had a dream, well that that would happen" he said. That's weird. We had contradicting dreams. Well now's not the time to dwell on it. "Well you better go find Jake." i said. He nodded and ran off. I looked around for where i last saw Thalia but she wasn't there. Okayy, next time i should tell her when I'm leaving. I took a brief break because there was no one around me. Then i saw Mr. D sitting on half- blood hill. In front of him a enemy half- blood went made and started spinning in circles. As annoying as he could be he was useful to have in battle. Then i realized something, Mr. D was a god and he was helping us. Why weren't any of the other gods? I looked up toward the sky "Why aren't you helping us!? We are fighting for you! Mr. D's helping and he's a god! Why aren't you!" I yelled.

Up on Olympus Zeus looked around to his fellow Olympians. Hermes was playing on his cell phone, Aphrodite was doing her hair(again), Athena was playing chess with Artemis while reading a book. Ares was playing battle ship with Hades (who was there because of the war) and Demeter and Persephone were planting in the garden together. Poseidon was arguing with Hera over some small matter. Apollo wasn't there though cause he was flying the sun across the sky. Zeus looked down at the battle again. Then he saw saw his neice, Poseidon's daughter, what was her name? Aegea. He saw Aegea look towards the sky and yell "Why aren't you helping us!? We are fighting for you! Mr. D's helping and he's a god! Why aren't you!" Zeus pondered this for a moment. The girl did have a point. He turned to where Hera and Poseidon were still argueing "Would you two cut it out! Poseidon your daughter brings up a good point." he said telling them what she had said. He then told all the Olympians. They all came to agreement, they would help.

Aegea's P.O.V I looked back at the battle field. That was a pointless waste of time. Then i noticed we were gaining the upper hand. All the archer's arrows were hitting their marks. Swords were swinging with deadly power and accuracy. The enemies were now standing no chance. I looked back up to the sky. "Thank you" i whispered. I ran back into battle with new energy. As i finished off a laistrygion i heard something behind me. I whirled around Kronos. Aw Styx. I raised my sword and shield. Then all of a sudden his body started to shudder and shake. He coughed and gagged. Then Luke's body crumpled to the ground. In it's place stood Kronos in his original form. He was huge! Luckily while he was spazzing out a moment ago i had a moment to think. I backed away and muttered Rise, Serve and Save me oh child of the Sea. My necklace started to glow and i felt a tingling sensation. I looked to where i had been standing a moment ago. There was an exact replica of me. Now only time would tell if it would fool the titan lord. I ran to where i saw Percy, Nico and Jake. I assumed Annabeth was there as well. Looking back to where i had been standing Kronos had not brought his sword down on me but instead had grabbed me... well my double. "Hello heroes" Kronos said in his cold mettalic voice. Everyone on the field went dead silent. Thalia ran up to where the others were standing and Annabeth took off her invisability cap. Finally Percy got up the nerve to speak "What to you want Kronos?" Percy asked trying to sound brave. I finally reached them but said nothing. "Oh nothing much." He stroaked my double's cheek with the butt of his scythe. "Just for you to join up and renounce the gods" "You've lost it. We'd never do that" he replied. "Really? Not even to save your sister?" Kronos said with a sinister smile a he placed his sword and inch from my doubles neck. "Being the kind soul i am i will give you two minutes to collaborate. But remember any rash decisions will not bode well for your sister" Percy turned to the others. Before he could say a word i spoke up "Don't listen to him!" They all looked around to see where my voice was coming from. "Aegea?" Percy asked confused "I'm right here. Shh!" i said. I quickly explained about the necklace. "So i'm right here. But this will give us time to carry out the plan. Tell Chiron to retreat everyone" Ananbeth nodded and ran off to Chiron. Our side started to back off. This seemed to snap everyone to their senses. The monsters started to advance but many fell into the fissure in the ground that was quickly increasing in size. Kronos spoke "I see you have made your decision. Say goodbye Aegea" My double didn't make a sound. Kronos seemed surprised but sliced his scythe through it. The form flickered and the disintegrated. Kronos roared in frustration but it was too late. The plan was in full effect. "Good to see you Aegea" Jake said while concentrating "You too" i said. Me and Percy's wave had reached 75 feet and was getting hard to keep up. "Now!" we yelled to Thalia. Two large bolts of lightning struck the wave as it crashed down. Monsters turned to dust and half- bloods screamed in pain as the wave collapsed on them. Kronos, not expecting it stumbled forward. His foot caught on the edge of the hole Jake and Nico had formed. He teetered and we all held our breaths. Suddenly he fell forward as if he had been given one final push. I looked to see Luke standing there and then collapse on the ground. Our side broke out cheering. The rest of the titan's decimated army launched one final attack. Our archers hit many of them and many of the kids from ares and Athena's cabins rushed out once again. I remembered the last two lines of the prophecy The battle will continue to rage though, Until the Chosen One's final blow. I looked over to where Percy was sitting on the ground breathing heavily. I was too along with Jake, Nico and Thalia. Finally one last archer's arrow flew through the air hitting the last of the army. It was over but what about the prophecy? Annabeth and a few kids from Apollo's cabin came running over with nectar and ambrosia. "Your alive" a voice said flatly "Jonathan! Yes i am" i said smiling. he held a canteen of nectar and a dagger. I found the dagger odd, why didn't he have his bow? "Your alive and Kronos is dead" he said again flatly helping me stand. "Yes.." his face turned into an ugly scowl. "You defied me once Aegea Jackson! You killed my master! Now it's your turn to die!" he yelled. He took his dagger and stabbed me in the stomach. I cried out and collapsed to the ground in agony. Jonathan raised his dagger above me. Then as i was about to die i remembered my promise to Aphrodite. "Jake, I love you." i said. Then everything went black Percy's P.O.V I heard a cry of pain and whipped around. Aegea was curled up on the ground and Jonathan was standing above her, dagger raised. I ran full speed knocking into him and we both went tumbling to the ground. Behind me Jake and Thalia had run over to where Aegea was laying. Jake had picked her up and was rocking her like a baby telling her was going to be okay. Me and Jonathan continued to wrestle. Finally i got him on the ground and stood up. I placed Riptide on his chest. "Sorry Jonathan" i snarled not sorry at all "But this war is over and the gods have won!" i said then pushed Riptide through him. Apollo's archers started shooting a few arrows that i deflected with my shield and several others came rushing down. "Stop!" i screamed. "He was a traitor!" Everyone froze. Chiron came trotting up to me. "Is this true?" he asked Annabeth who had appeared at my side. "Yes sir." she said. He had a sad expression on his face as well as a confused one. "Well then. The war is over, that was the Chosen Ones final blow." he said. What? "I'll explain later" Annabeth whispered. I nodded and ran back to where my sister lay unconscious on the ground.

Three day's later Aegea's P.O.V Slowly i opened my eyes. Was i dead? I looked around trying to figure out where i was. Light flooded through a window and outside the blue skies were clear. I was alive. I took another look around, i was laying in a white room on a white bed. A boy with black hair lay sleeping in the corner. Percy! I started to jump out of bed and winced. I realized i was hooked up an I.V machine. It took all i could not to shudder. I hate needles. Then Annabeth walked in and her eyes widened "Oh my gods you're awake!" she exclaimed handing me some nectar. I took a sip and said "Yup. How long was i out?" i asked "Three days. We won but i think you already knew that" she said smiling. "How many, i mean who, who did we lose?" i asked in a small voice. Annabeth's expression darkened. "We lost 21 campers and 30 satyrs, dryads or naiads. Also one hunter" she said sadly.I gulped "Anyone we know?" i asked biting my lip. " A few, Juniper, Grover's beside himself; Chris; Malcolm" She said her voice breaking on her half- brother's name " and Clarisse." she said a tear rolling down her face. What? Clarisse!? As much as we fought or disliked each other i didn't want her to die! "What? Why? How?" i said in disbelief. "She was helping someone fight off a monster when another attacked from behind" Annabeth said through sobs. "We lost a bunch and many more are seriously injured, Berkendorf was one of them. And that girl Beth from Demeter" Beth. Was she the girl i had fought in the arena only weeks earlier? I sighed heavily and tears came running down my face. Percy must have heard us 'cause he woke up startled. "Oh my gods you're awake!" He said and dashed out of the room. What was his issue? Annabeth winked and then turned to me "I have to go but i'm sure you'll have other visitors soon" "Okay... i guess" i said. Let the boredom commence. A few minutes after Annabeth left someone else walked in. They were on a crutch and wearing khaki shorts and a blue shirt. Their blond hair was a mess and they're face was full of cuts, most noticably a long scar running down their face. My hand flew to my ring and out popped my sword. "Luke." i said with a snarl. I don't care if i had just come out of unconciesness. I should slice this traitor down. "Aegea put the sword away, i'm not going to hurt you." he said tiredly as if he had repeated this many times before. I didn't put away my sword. "Really? You just fought in a huge war on the enemies side and i should expect you not to hurt me!? You may have pushed Kronos in but you're still a traitor Luke" i said pointing my sword at him. He stepped forward with his hand out. "Back." i said. He sighed but sat down in the chair where Percy had been earlier. "Listen i came here to thank you not kill you." he said. I raised my eyebrows but relaxed my grip on my sword, slightly. "The reason i was err, rejected by Kronos was because your eyes. They changed to exactly the same color of Thalia's. Kronos wasn't too happy about me not wanting to kill you because of that. I had been thinking about how stupid i was to join him for some time now and when he discarded me i realized i was really, really stupid. That's why i pushed him to tartarus." Luke said. I lowered my sword putting down next to me. "I'm still pissed at you." i said. He laughed "Everyone is. Tell me something i don't know" he said. Someone yelled from the other room "I have to go. Thanks again Aegea" he said and walked out leaving me alone. Again. I put my sword away and sat up. I stared at the I.V. That had to go. I sucked in my breath and pulled it out. Ow ow ow. Stinging pain. i grabbed where it had been with my other hand. "You know, there are less painful ways of getting those out." a voice said from the doorway. "Jake!" i said happily. He came over and sat on the edge of my bed. "What's up Sea Girl?" he asked "Well i just woke up from being unconcious for three days because i was stabbed in the stomach but other than that i'm great" i said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes "Yeah you must be alright" he said. I smiled. "Aegea? Do you remember anything you said before you passed out?" he asked. I blushed. I remembered exactly what i said. "Yes." i said quietly "Good, 'cause i love you too" he said leaning down and kissing me. All of a sudden we were interupted. "Ew! Get a room!" "Nico, your the one who entered 'the room'" Jake said making quotes in the air. Nico shrugged "Whatever. Come on. We're going to Olympus tonight and Aegea should probably change." he said. I looked down and realized i was still in my battle stained clothes. Ew. Jake helped me up and we headed to my cabin. Camp seemed to be submerged in a sea of sadness. I few people smiled and waved when they saw us. I saw Luke heading to the back of the Hermes cabin. "Where's he going?" i asked Jake "His cabin mates disowned him and wouldn't allow him back in. Since Hermes is still hih father he built a small lean to shack in the back of it" "Oh." was all i said. Part of me thought he deserved it but another part felt kind of sorry him. Finally we reached the Poseidon cabin. "Well see ya later Sea Girl." Jake said waving and heading to the Hades cabin. "Yeah see ya!" i opened the door. Everything was exactly how i had left it. Except there was a pair of clothes laid out on the bed & a necklace with a single bead. The bead depicted a wave of water pushing someone into a hole with a storm raging up above. "Your first bead from your first summer" Percy said. I jumped, i hadn't realized he was there. "Cool." i said picking it up and putting it on. "Why didn't you tell me about the prophecy?" he said sternly. i gulped "Because of the last line, i thought it meant you would die." his face softened. "Why would i do that?" i shook my head "Annabeth calls you Seaweed Brain for a reason" "Shut up and get ready. We're leaving for Olympus soon" I obeyed. I took a quick shower and got dressed. i combed the tangles out of my hair put it up in a ponytail as usual. Then i headed out the door. I saw Thalia talking to Luke behind the Hermes cabin. Why was she talking to that traitor? Oh righttt. I left them alone and headed over to Annabeth. "Hi Aegea! Ready for your first trip to Olympus?" she asked "Yup, but shouldn't someone get Thalia and Luke?" i asked smirking "Yeah... THALIA! LUKE! WE'RE GOING!" she screamed at the top of her lungs. Thalia and Luke came running red faced. "Come on children! Into the cars please" Chiron said trying to get everyone in order. He finally did and off we went After about and hour we reached the empire state building, home of the gods. Chiron walked up to the clerk "We have an appointment with the gods" he said in a demanding voice. "Yes Chiron, sir" the clerk stuttered handing Chiron a key. "Come along now." Chiron said. We all squeezed into the elevator and up we went. When we reached the top floor the doors opened and i gasped. It was beautiful! Large marble columns linded the streets which were roamed with everything from satyrs to minor gods. They were selling things such as ambrosia and nectar to- i can't even say there was so much! Percy grabbed my arm. "Come on you don't keep the gods waiting!" i nodded and followed everyone into a huge throne room where there sat 12 thrones and 12 olympians. There was another person in a makeshift chair who i assumed to be Hades. I could see where Jake and Nico got their looks from. "Heroes." Lord Zeus said. We all bowed respectivly. I saw my dad look at me and give me a smile. Aphrodite gave me a thumbs up and Hades an approving glance. Zeus continued "You heroes have done us a great service in putting Kronos back in tartarus where he belongs. He is no longer whole but in a million tiny pieces thanks to Lord Hades." Everyone clapped. I guess the gods had decided to intervine. Zeus smiled at Thalia. "Now would like you all to go enjoy yourselves in the grand room." he said smiling. Everyone just stood there. "Go on! Except for you Luke." he said glaring at Luke who gulped. We all left except for Luke and Thalia as well. All the other gods were dismissed too. Hermes stayed behind though. I looked around in wonder. Everyone was laughing and talking and being happy for the first time in 3 long days. My dad came over to me. "Aegea i know you probably am upset with me-" "No i'm not." i said iteruppting. He raised an eyebrow. "Sorry go on." "But i'll have you know i'm very proud of you and i do hope you take up Sally's offer to stay with her again. She really is a kind woman." he said with a int of saddness in his eyes. "I will dad don't worry." "Well i better go find your brother. Gods knows what he's up to." Poseidon said with a laugh. "Yes you probably should." Then Hades approached me. "If it isn't the girl my boys have been talking about." he said with a rare smile. Wait what? Boys? "Excuse me sir, boys?" "Why of course. Jake doesn't shut up about you and Nico then complains about it." i laughed. That's so very, them. "But on a serious note i would like to thank you for saving Nico. I will always be debted to you fro that." he said "Your very welcome sir." "You should probably go help your brother. Athena looks as if she's going to strike him down on the spot" he said with a laugh. "Thank you Lord Hades!" i said and ran off to where my brother, Annabeth and Athena were having an arguement. "Annabeth i expected more of you! The idiot's kid!" Athena was bellowing. Percy was practically cowering in fear. That's it. Noone was going to insult my brother and my friend. Not even my friend's mother. "Excuse me Lady Athena" i said in my politest tone. She looked me up and down "Another sea spawn." she said with disgust "Mother!" Annabeth said horrified. "I'm sorry Lady Athena but i resent that remark. And i must say a wise girl should be able to make her own decisions shouldn't she? And we all know Annabeth is a very wise girl is she not?" i said. It was probably a very stupid thing to do but i've done alot of stupid things so whats one more. Athena looked shocked by remark. "True. But he's a sea spawn!" she insisited "No he's my brother Percy Jackson and Annabeth's boyfriend. And just because you had a disagreementwith our father doesn't mean Annabeth has to hate us. It's always wise to learn from our past mistakes in history is it not?" i said innocently. I was really pushing it. Then Athena did something that surprised me. "That is one of the wisest things i ever heard Poseidon of blood relative of him say." She nodded at Percy and Annabeth then walked away to the rest of the party. "Well i think that went well." i said to Percy and Annabeth. They laughed "I can't believe you just said that to her" Annabeth said. "Come on, let's go find Thalia and forget about your mother" Percy pleaded. We laughed and followed him. Thalia and Luke were sitting outside the throne room. "Hi guys!" Annabeth said. "How did it go?" Thalia took a deep breath "The good news is my dad didn't kill him and that Hermes didn't disown him. The bad is my dad said he would never let Luke forget what he did." she said quickly. Luke was shaking and nodded. They both looked so sad. This was the one time they needed to be happy "Come on. "May i have this dance?" Jake asked with fake formality. i smiled. "Of course." I don't know what anyone else heard but i heard a slow song that i never wanted to end. After this long summer i finally had my one perfect moment here in Jake's arms. Around me people laughed and swirled around while others cried and reminesced. This was one summer i would never forget. Ever.
