Shilpa Anand (born Shilpa Shivanand on 10 December 1982,Hindi: शिल्पा आनन्द,), is an Indian television and movie actress. She is the younger sister of Sakshi Shivanand, another actor who inspired her to act.

Personal Life and Education

Anand was born in South Africa, and did her schooling there. After completing her education, she shifted to Mumbai along with her family.[1]

She studied at the Punjab University obtaining a Masters in Computer Applications in 2003. She worked for five years in the Software industry.

She is currently dating Parikshit Sial whom she met in a gym which turned out to be a date eventually. Both of them accepted their relationship in front of the media.

She rose to stardom when she starred in the television the series Dill Mill Gayye, in which she used to play, Dr. Riddhima Gupta alongside her co-star, Dr. Armaan Malik Karan Singh Grover.Hher contract with the production house ended in June 2008 and this consequenced her leaving the show and her role of Dr. Riddhima Gupta.
