New Moon (movie)
New Moon, currently in production, will be released on November 20, 2008.
It will star returning actors Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, who fans anticipate will reprise their roles as Edward Cullen, Bella Swan, and Jacob Black respectively, very nicely.[1] Kristen Stewart is reportedly going to be making $12 million dollars for her return as Bella Swan for New Moon.[2] As a result, fans say, her attitude toward fans of the Twilight series has been much improved.[3]
Fans of the Twilight series anticipate that The Twilight Saga: New Moon should conform very faithfully to the events and dialogue of Stephenie Meyer's best-seller book New Moon, sequel to best-seller Twilight.[4] Citing complaints that 2008's mega-blockbuster book-to-movie translation of Twilight was not as literal of a translation as they would like, fans demand that New Moon's director Chris Weitz take a more guided approach to the film. [5]
In March, 2009, Dakota Fanning was announced to be cast for the role of Jane in the New Moon movie.[6] Some fans of the Twilight series fear that Fanning's addition to the cast will only over-commercialize the film or bring too much attention to Jane's character, which is relatively small in the New Moon book by Meyer.[7] Others worry that her recognizability will prohibit effective casting for the part of Jane's "twin" brother Alec.[8]
Also reprising their roles for the film will be Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, and Peter Facinelli.[9] Newly cast Bronson Pelletier, relatively unknown Canadian actor, has also been cast for a part in New Moon, though details are unknown at this time.[10]
