I Didn't Know You Cared was a somewhat surreal comedy set in a working class household in a Yorkshire mining village.

The catchphrase from one of the characters in this sitcom - the senile Uncle Staveley - was "I heard that. Pardon".

Other characters included the perpetually morose Uncle Mort, and his unassuming nephew, Carter.

The TV series followed the book 'I Didn't Know You Cared' by Peter Tinniswood.
