Caínzos

Caínzos or Cainzos are Spanish spellings for the Basque surname Gaintza ("pasturable land") and placename ("there are two small villages in the province of Gipuzkoa with this name"). `

Historical References

On 7th October 1629, María Cainzos-Come, daughter of Bartolomé Caínzos and María Come, was baptised at the church of “Santa María de la Anunciación”, in Robladillo (this days, province of Valladolid).

On 23rd April 1693, María Francisca Gainza-Artaza, daughter of Diego Gainza and María Artaza, was baptised at the church of “Santa Fe”, in Caparroso ( province of Navarra).
