Sonic Hedgehog
Sonic Hedgehog protein? What? Is that a joke? :S It's been there quite a while...
"This has been shown to generate a net leftward flow in mouse and chick embryos, and sweeps the Sonic Hedgehog (Shh) protein to the left, triggering normal asymmetrical development."
- Nope, it is no joke. Sonic Hedgehog is a real protein, if I remember right it deals with the spacial orientation of organs, and explains the situs inversus found in Kartagener's syndrome. (200.50.72.156 (talk) 23:48, 23 March 2009 (UTC))
