User:Bourne End

Account does not belong to the user stated (I know the actual individual who owned the account, and he said the misappropriation is annoying!); the page violates WP:HOAX too, especially as I know for a fact that this was just a single-use account from 2005. I do know that it is used by a different person (from a wiki where I was sysop!), so the whole claim is a hoax. Also it's CSD G5 too. --Samllaws300 (talk) 11:11, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Not properly MfD then -- should it not go to a bureaucrat for determination as to ownership of name? I recall seeing that "abandoned names" at one point were supposed to be deleted from the database (one possible explanation) the other is the use of various usernames in various parts of the WP empire ... deletion of a userpage does not affect name ownership AFAICT. • Comment: not related to the issue at hand but note that User:Samllaws300 has been indef as sock. -- Alexf(talk) 17:12, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
