Pacific Northern Academy is a private, independent school located in Anchorage, Alaska, founded in 1995. It holds the unique position of being the only school in Alaska affiliated with the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools (PNAIS).
Classes PNA is an independent school serving 130 students in early kindergarten through eighth grade. The learning environment at PNA is dynamic and child-centered. It is intellectually rich and developmentally appropriate. The small class size – a maximum of eighteen students per grade - enables the school to provide a personal approach to education within a caring and supportive community. Pacific Northern Academy offers a program that is intellectually challenging and that incorporates visual arts, performing arts and community service while embracing cultural diversity.
