Dashkin is a village in the district Astore, 85 km from Gilgit, capital of the Northern Areas of Pakistan.

Dashkin is famous for certain unique species of wildlife like, Astore Markhore, Ibex and Snow Leopard. The people are brave, hospitable and conservative and stuck to the centuries long old traditions. The people of Dashkin are good at typical traditional sports like swimming, riding, hunting, kabdi, basra and rasa kashi. The village is full of natural resourses. The Dichil nallah of Dashkin is full of gemstones and natural beauty.
