Lynn Carlton Higby

Lynn Carlton Higby (born 1938) is a former United States federal judge.
Higby was born in Orlando, Florida. He received a B.A. from Emory University in 1960. He received a LL.B. from Emory University School of Law in 1962. He was in private practice of law in Atlanta, Georgia in 1962. He was in the United States Navy Reserve from 1962 to 1965. He was in private practice of law in Panama City, Florida from 1965 to 1979.
Higby was a federal judge to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. Higby was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on June 14, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629; He was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 4, 1979, and received his commission on October 5, 1979. Higby's service was terminated on January 3, 1983, due to resignation. Judge Higby died in 1992.[1]
