Overview

Pacific Northern Academy (PNA) is a private, independent school located in Anchorage, Alaska, founded in 1995. It holds the unique position of being the only school in Alaska affiliated with the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools (PNAIS).

Mission

We educate students to be exceptional learners and independent thinkers of vision, courage, and integrity.

Classes

PNA serves students in early kindergarten through eighth grade. The learning environment at PNA is dynamic and child-centered. It is intellectually rich and developmentally appropriate. The small class size – a maximum of eighteen students per grade - enables the school to provide a personal approach to education within a caring and supportive community. Pacific Northern Academy offers a program that is intellectually challenging and that incorporates visual arts, performing arts and community service while embracing cultural diversity.
