Elena Salgado (b. May 12, 1949 in Orense, Orense) is a Spanish politician currently serving as the Second Vice President and Minister of Economy and Finance in the government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. She succeeded Pedro Solbes in April 2009.

she had previously being Health Minister (2004-2007) and Minister of Public Administrations (2007-2009).
