ARCA Sim Racing is a stock-car racing simulator developed by The Sim Factory LLC, a small American based computer software company devoted to the production of racing simulation software. The game simulates the 2008 ARCA Re/Max season.
Overview
ARCA Sim Racing is based on Image Space Incorporated's game engine, gmotor2, which was used in rFactor. In August 2006, The Sim Factory purchased the rights to use the gmotor2 engine in their software[1], and with the help of ISI, The Sim Factory was able to recode the engine to produce a realistic stock car simulation.
The game is produced by a very small company consisting of about 10 devoted developers. The software was released for pre-ordering on January 1st, 2008.[2] The game shipped with 10 tracks that were scratch built to replicate the real life tracks.
