Politics Can Be Different (Hungarian: Lehet Más a Politika!, and its acronym LMP) is a Hungarian political party founded in 2009. Foundation of the party was preceded by the creation of a non-governmental organization (with their own term a "social initiative"), founded in 2008 on purpose to reform the Hungarian politics[1]. LMP shares common ideologies with most green parties. Key issues are the environmental protection, sustainable development and the fight against corruption in the current political elite. LMP highlights the pointlessness of the current bipartidary division between the left and right-wing, and their principle is the deliberative democracy, which decreases the distance between the society and the political elite. The public face of the organization is András Schiffer, former member of the HCLU and Védegylet and Tímea Szabó, humanitarian worker, heading the list presented for the European Parliamentary Elections.
