Charlie Green (born February 16, 1997 in Droitwich, Worcestershire) is a British-Filipino child swing singer. He is best known for appearing on the second series of Britain's Got Talent.
In his audition, Charlie sang Frank Sinatra's Summer Wind, and received a standing ovation from the audience. Amanda Holden predicted he could win the show. He received three yes's from the judges. Eventually he was put through to the live shows.
In the semi-final, Charlie performed a song written for him called All I Wanna Do Is Sing and was criticised by all three judges, with Simon Cowell calling Charlie a ten, but the song a two. Despite the negative comments, Simon Cowell stated he wants to see Charlie in the final.
During the results for the semi-final, he was one of the two acts to face the judges' choice, alongside a martial-arts duo named Strike. Simon Cowell stated that Charlie was hampered by his song choice, but because of his high potential to win, he decided to put through Charlie. However, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan put through Strike, and narrowly missed out a place in the final.
Alongside Britain's Got Talent, in July 2008, Charlie went on a three-week holiday to the Philippines to appear on TV shows and made guest appearances on shows such as The Buzz. [1]
Since March 2009, he is on his USA Tour.
In December 2007, he released his debut single called Hands Around The World.
He currently attends Westacre Middle School in Droitwich, Worcestershire.
