Just Out is a biweekly LGBT newspaper published in Portland, Oregon, United States, founded in 1983. Former contributors to Just Out include novelist Marc Acito, Pink Martini pianist Thomas Lauderdale, and prize-winning reporter Peter Zuckerman. The newspaper originally had a number of free dropsites up and down the Willamette Valley but these were eliminated sometime in 2002-03. All except one dropsite is now inside the Portland area. The other is in Lincoln City.[1] The newspaper has been approached by readers with the idea of re-opening some dropsites in the Willamette Valley but publisher Marty Davis outright refuses, with the insistance that if one want the newspaper, they have to subscribe. (Gasoline prices were used as an excuse no to re-open dropsites during the gasoline crisis of 2008.)
