Reception

  • Hardcore Gamer Magazine gave the game a 1.5/5 saying that it was "so bad that even extremely fond memories of the original cannot redeem the wretched controls and dull character design".[1]
  • Game Informer gave the game a 1/10 citing horrible controls, many racist stereotypes and bad gameplay.
  • IGN gave the game a 3.5 calling it extremely frustrating, and not worth trying to gain the unlockables, even if they were more than half of the game.[2]
  • Gamespot gave the game a 3.5 saying that "broken controls destroy any fun that could have been laid in this arcade boxer"

X Play give it a 3 out of 5 prasing for the games controls, characters, and being a soild boxer but gone to the fact that the side view isn't effective as the First person view, the lack of Mii support or Nintendo Wi-Fi online play.
