Roy Martin (sprinter)

Roy Martin (born December 25, 1966) is a former American sprinter. He competed in the 1984 and 1988 Olympic Games. He set the national high school record for the 200 meters with a time of 20.13 seconds. He set his personal best in the 200 meters on July 20, 1988, recording a time of 20.05 seconds in Indianapolis, Indiana.[1] When he retired from sprinting he became the head track coach at Florence Middle School in Texas. He was arrested for a drug offense after a mishandled attempt to stop drug use by pupils at the school.[2]
