MAFELAP

MAFELAP stands for the MAthematics of Finite ELements and APplications. These international MAFELAP conferences run at Brunel University Brunel University approximately every three years and have been organised by John Whiteman and BICOM since the early 1970's. The purpose of the meetings is to bring together theoreticians and practitioners to discuss recent advances and breakthroughs in the numerical analysis of partial differential equations. The main numerical tool under discussion is traditionally finite elements, but this is interpreted in a broad sense and contributions realted to recent advances in finite difference, volume or boundary element formulations are welcomed.
