Thanks for the heads up. I went back and rewrote the article from scratch. I think the nominator had a point that some of the material was haphazardly sourced, but it's also questionable practice to throw away so much of an an article after failing to get consensus for its deletion. I'm staying out of the "convention summit" issue. I think there's a case to be made for including it, but I don't feel strongly enough about the matter to champion it. --Shunpiker (talk) 00:10, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: editing the non-controversial wiki -- good idea! Getting embroiled in controversial matters here is often frustrating, as there isn't sufficient structure to deal with highly-motivated people with time to burn and an axe to grind. Perhaps someday something will evolve to deal with that: That seems to be the way the wiki grows. Until then, I spend most of my wiki attention on matters unlikely to draw the attention of tendentious editors.
