Karen Gillan (born 1987/1988) is an actress in the television series Doctor Who.[1]

Personal

Karen attended school at Charleston Academy which is located in Inverness, Scotland.[2]

Career

Gillan has had parts in The Kevin Bishop Show and Rebus.[1]

It was announced on 29th May 2009 that Gillan will become the companion to the Eleventh Doctor (portrayed by Matt Smith) from 2010.[1] She was previously seen in the Doctor Who episode entitled "The Fires of Pompeii" playing a soothsayer.[3]
