User, please do not remove warnings that people put on your talk page about improper editing. I believe that is against Wikipedia policy. -Wookipedian (talk) 09:27, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
I Own My Talk Page so I may edit as I wish. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.180.189.229 (talk • contribs)
- Actually, I think your Talk page is owned by the Wikimedia Foundation, and I believe they frown upon such actions. We now seem to be in an edit war over whether you can remove negative comments about your actions faster than I can restore them. You are repeatedly (and very rapidly) removing the prior negative comments that I am restoring to your page. It would be nice if you could find some more constructive way to use your time and energy. -Wookipedian (talk) 09:49, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
I cant help it if you have dialup... and if you feel we are in an editwar then I hereby request an admin to intervene. and as for finding somthing better to do with my time... I happen to think you are a Troll cause you seem to be constantly focused on my talk page Instead of helping to fix other articles. Take a bit of your own advice and leave my talk page alone. as for me I am going to bed for the night. so go troll sombody elses talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.180.189.229 (talk • contribs)
- I just did a bit of reading about the Wikipedia policy on Talk pages, and I didn't actually find any statement saying that removing edit warnings was improper. That surprises me, but perhaps there really isn't a policy against it. If that is the case, then I apologize for thinking that there was a policy that doesn't actually exist. -Wookipedian (talk) 10:04, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
- In fact, I just found a statement saying the opposite of what I had thought was true. The topic has come up enough that there's even a page called Wikipedia:Don't restore removed comments. Sorry about that. (Although, on the ownership question, I did find "As a tradition, Wikipedia offers wide latitude to users to manage their user space as they see fit. However, pages in user space still do belong to the community" on Wikipedia:User page.) -Wookipedian (talk) 10:22, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
