Wolf-Ulrich Cropp

Wolf-Ulrich Cropp (born July 25, 1941 in Hamburg, Germany) is a German writer who has written up till now 21 books and over 200 short stories, features and essays. He awarded several prizes and distinctions. He also was a former known manager in international businesses.

Life

Wolf-Ulrich Cropp, alias Carl Conte, is a son of an aeroplane engineer. After his graduation exam in civil engineering and business administration (Dipl.-Witschaftsing.) 1971, he worked with Perkins Engines AS, Dr. Schmidt-Group, Kopperschmidt GmbH and BESIX AS, very soon as managing director. Since 1997, Cropp is traveling all over the world and worked as a freelance writer with location in Hamburg. He is a member of the board with Hamburger Autorenvereinigung e.V. and a member of several literature organizations. The grammar school Johanneum in Hamburg, annual grants the Dr. Cropp-Geography-Prize.
