Could someone please add something about the Melody Maker Poll? Thank you.

Should links be added to other entries in wikipedia? For example David Toop and Simon Reynolds were prominent writers for the MM in the nineties and already have wikipedia entries.

Too rockist?

I fear the tone of this article is too harsh on the more pop-friendly era of this magazine (the early 1980s) and changes should be made to the wording of that section to reflect a perspective on pop that's less harsh on that. Not everyone thinks the Beatles/Zeppelin/Springsteen canon of guitar-driven rock is all that great and there are some people who prefer to listen to eurodance or synthpop instead. Me personally, the only reason I ever have any positive associations with the Melody Maker was precisely because in the early '80s they were more popist. 68.91.90.30 (talk) 06:40, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Changed July 1983 to April 1984

Have a look at this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/53/MM_July_1983.jpg Under the front covers section I've changed the text saying July 1983 for this edition to April 1984. First of all it says "MARVIN GAY TRIBUTE" at the top, and Marvin Gaye died on 01 April 1984, second of all if you squint you can definitely make out the month is April.

Please feel free to change it back if you're certain its from 1983 and MM decided to have a tribute to Marvin Gaye when he was still alive!
