Paul Leo H Rodgers (born 6 October 1989 in Edmonton, Greater London) is an English professional footballer, who is currently a free agent. He formerly played for Arsenal. Rodgers plays as a defender, either at centre half or full back.[1]

Rodgers joined Arsenal in 2005 and was given a professional contract at the start of the 2007-08 season.[1] He originally started out as a full back but has since also played as a centre half and made his Arsenal first-team debut in a friendly against Barnet in the 2007 pre-season.[1]

He made his competitive professional debut in Arsenal's League Cup quarter-final against Burnley on December 2nd, 2008, a match which Arsenal lost 2-0; Rodgers was substituted for Henri Lansbury after 46 minutes.[2] On January 22nd 2009, Arsenal announced he was to go on loan to Northampton Town for one month[3][4], which was later extended to the end of the season [5]. Having been released by Arsenal in June 2009,[6] Rodgers has been offered a trial with Northampton Town[7].
