Nick Danger and the Danger City Rebels

Nick Danger and the Danger City Rebels are a Canadian indie rock band based out of Ottawa, Ontario. Formed in 2003, Nick Danger is the principle song writer as well as vocalist and guitarist. The other members of the band are "Popsicle Pete" Connell on bass guitar and Steve "Chunkk" Neilson on percussion. They are one of the original artists on Ottawa based indie label, The Beautiful Music along with Skytone (band).

They initially garnered attention for their moody cover of the Television Personalities song "The Diary of a Young man" released on a tribute album from The Beautiful Music. Their signature sound revolves around a clever blend of rockabilly/surf with beat lyrics and hard rock rhythm section. Compared at times to Elvis Costello, Lou Reed, Mike Ness and Steve Earl.

Nick Danger and the Danger City Rebels songs have charted on Canadian campus radio charts and have been in rotation on CBC Radio 3. Their last release Escape from Danger City featured Mike Dubue of the Hilotrons/Kepler (band) and was recorded at Bovasound in Ottawa.
