Alice Longbottom

Alice Longbottom, a fictional character in the Harry Potter book series, is the mother of Neville Longbottom. Neville is a Gryffindor boy in the same year as Harry Potter at Hogwarts.

• Alice married Frank Longbottom and her maiden name is unknown. She and her husband were tortured to insanity by a Death Eater by the name of Bellatrix Lestrange (the wife of Rudolph Lestrange and cousin of Sirius Black).

• Alice currently resides with her husband in the permanent resident ward of St. Mungos, visited by her son and mother-in-law.

• In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Alice gives Neville a Droobles bubblegum wrapper during his visit at Christmas break (when Harry and his friends are visiting Mr. Weasley) and he puts it in his pocket even though his grandmother tells him to throw it away.
