47°27′20″N 19°07′34″E / 47.45556°N 19.12611°E / 47.45556; 19.12611 The Wekerle estate (Hungarian: Wekerletelep) is a part of Budapest's XIX. district (known as Kispest). Kispest, formerly a suburb was administratively attached to Budapest in 1950. Wekerle estate, named after Sándor Wekerle, then prime minister of Hungary, is a good and succesful example of early 20th century city development.

Location

The Wekerle estate lies on a flat area on the W-NW part of Kispest. Highest point is a small, artificial knoll on Kós Károly Square. The estate is bounded by the following streets: Nagykőrösi str., Határ str., Ady Endre str., Bercsényi str.
