Mbieri is a Town in southeastern Nigeria. Mbieri town is made up of the following villages: Achi, Amankuta, Amaulu, Awo, Ebom, Eziome, Obazu, Obokwe, Ohohia, Ubakuru, Umuagwu, Umuahii, Umudagu, Umuduru, Umunjam, Umuobom, Umuomumu and Umuonyeali. Currently Mbieri is divided into the following autonomous communities; Amaike-Mbieri,Awo-Mbieri, Ezi-Mbieri, Ihitte isi-Mbieri, Obi-Mbieri and Umueze-Mbieri It has boundry with the following communities; Iho,Akabo and Amatta(Ikeduru), Orji, Amakohia, Akwakuma(Owerri North), Ubomiri, Ifakala, Orodo and Ogwa(Mbaitoli).It is about 10 km north of Owerri. Mbieri has many prominent sons and daughters among whom are; Chief Marcelinus Nlemigbo(Marcon) PDP Chairman,Imo state, Mr william Anumudu(Globe Motors), Bar. Humphrey Anumudu, Dr Onyewuchi Asinobi(CSCS Boss), Mr Kezie Ogazieche, Dr Emma Umez-Eronini(Umezurike Hospital), Dr Darlington Amamasi(Aladinma Hospital, Engr Ossy Nwaozuzu(Ossy Petroleum), Hon. Uche Nwole(MacNelson), Mr Osuji E. C. Claudio(Ejimsclaudio) others are Chief(Lady) Victoria Akanwa, Dr. Mrs) Ada Ihechukwu-Madubuike, Dr. (Mrs) Caroline Amadi, Bishop Ngozi Durueke, Rt Rev C. C. Oparaojiaku, Prof. Sunny Ibe, Dr. C. O Osueke, Mr. Charles Ngome Eke and many others. [1]
