Sammaat

Sammaat is the name of the original population of the Sindh province of Pakistan[1]. They are Sindhi Rajput by race, and they are the long dwellers of the region. Sammaat came to Sindh with Aryan immigrants and since then have lived in the region. It is generally accepted that they are the descendants of Sam son of Krishan (Lord Krishna).

Sammaat are also known as Aabar.

Bhanbhro cast (Zaat) people are mainly in Sindh, Pakistan. These people live at many places in Sindh like Naushahro Feroze, Umar Kote, Ranipur, Khair Pur, Sukkur, Rato Dairo, Naaro, Peer jo Goth, Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah and in some other areas.
