He is the author of two books, The Pleasures of Slow Food: Celebrating Authentic Traditions, Flavors, and Recipes [3] and The Joy of Coffee: The Essential Guide to Buying, Brewing, and Enjoying [4], and is the winner of five James Beard Journalism awards for food writing [5].
