A Love Story is the debut studio album by American R&B singer Vivian Green, released by Columbia Records on November 12, 2002 in the United States. It spawned three single: the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40 hit Emotional Rollercoaster; the Fred Kenney-produced Fanatic and the Osunlade-produced What Is Love?.

The album debut at number ninety-three on the Billboard 200 chart in December 2002 and later peaked at number fifty-one. It garnered Vivian Green three Lady of Soul awards nominations for Best Solo R&B/Soul Single - Emotional Rollercoaster, Best Solo R&B/Soul Album of the Year - "A Love Story", and Best Solo R&B/Solo or Rap New Artist[1] and BET Awards nomination for Best R&B Female Artist. [2] A Love Story was certified gold by the RIAA on May 6, 2003.

Chart Performance

A Love Story debuted at number ninety-three on the Billboard 200 album chart in December 2002. The album later peaked at number fifty-one on the Billboard 200 album chart and Billboard's Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart at eighteen on March 1, 2003 due to consistent sales. The album was cetified gold by RIAA on May 6, 2003 and remained on Billboard 200 album chart for a mere 27 weeks. A Love Story has sold over 531,000 copies in the United States alone, according to Nielsen Soundscan.[3]
