Luqman Ali was an integral presence to Sun Ra's Arkestra, participating on well-known Sun Ra albums from the 1970s and into the 21st century, many of which have been reissued in the last decade. These reissues include: Lanquidity (1978), Disco 3000 (1978), Sleeping Beauty (1979), The Other Side Of The Sun (1979), and Strange Celestial Road (1980). His drumming style and work are distinct and influential to all facets of jazz music. To ignore his participation in this incredibly important ensemble is to impoverish its quality. Thanks for your time and consideration.
