"You're Going Down"
Song

"You're Going Down" is the lead single from Sick Puppies' third album Tri-Polar.

"You're Going Down" was used by the WWE to represent their Extreme Rules PPV as their official theme song.[1]

The official release date is June 2, 2009 but the band already begun streaming the song through their Myspace page.[2] The "Radio Edit" version of the song is already available for download on iTunes and downloading interfaces such as Frostwire.

When Moore was asked how he wrote the song his answer was :. "I asked myself, when you're getting pumped up to get into the ring, what would you want to hear? And that's what came out." [3]

It was previously believed that Street Fighter (War) was the first single off of Tri-Polar. However, the song was simply released for the commercial of Street Fighter IV and was not an actual single.

The song is set to be featured in the upcoming WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010[4]

Music video

The full video premiere of You're Going Down was on Tuesday August 11, 2009 starting at 6am on both MTV2 and mtvU, as well as the mtvU website. The next day, it became available for viewing on Sick Puppies MySpace page and channel, as well as their YouTube.

To contrast the heavy, aggressive sound of the song, the video features small children throwing water balloons at each other and shooting each other with water guns. The main humor comes from the fact that it is shot in a very serious way, similar to Saving Private Ryan, so that it appears to be a real war. The kids talk on walkie talkies and appear to die as if fighting with real weapons.

The video cuts back and forth between this story and scenes of the band performing the song. Unlike most videos that are part story and part performance, this video has much more of the band performing than of the kids fighting.
